Laura Maulbetsch - Brilliant Borderhauss Dog Training A dog training center using positive reinforcement, force and frustration free techniques with certified trainers.

We are located in Howell, MI on a 20 acre farm. I offer dog training classes throughout the year in a number of venues and clinics. We use positive reinforcement methods specializing in dog agility, trick, CGC, puppies, canine fitness and foundation skills. We offer group classes, private lessons, and an extensive online program for clients.

4 Weeks -Tuesdays -6-7pm - Brilliant Borderhauss Dog Training

Does your dog pull on leash, ignore you when it counts, jump on guests, or just seem like they missed the memo on how to live politely in a human world? This class is for you.

Life Skills Foundation is a 4-week group class designed for dogs of any age, any breed, and any starting point. Whether you just brought home a puppy or you've been living with a "work in progress" for years, this class builds the real-world foundation your dog needs to be a confident, connected to you, and happy.

Our goals are to use frustration free, positive reinforcement methods. We focus on the skills that actually matter in daily life; not just sit, stay, down in a perfect environment. We help you to learn to read your dog and adjust/help your dog for the environment in the moment.

What we cover:
Loose leash walking
Sit, down, and stay with real-world distractions
Recalls (even when something better is happening)
Polite greetings and/or working around people and dogs
Settle and impulse (stimulus) control

Focus and connection with you as the handler
This class also serves as a pathway toward the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. CGC testing is offered separately upon completion.

Class size is limited to 6 dogs to ensure every team gets individualized attention in a small, supportive group setting.
Cost: $149, Tuesdays, September 15 - October 6, 6-7pm

Is agility on your bucket list? Come try it before you commit.
Our four-week Try Agility class is designed for dogs and owners who want to explore safe agility. You and your dog will explore all the common agility equipment in a relaxed, positive environment with no pressure and no expectations beyond having fun. You will learn safe introductions to each piece of equipment and exercises to play at home.

This is the perfect way to find out if agility is the right fit for your team.

Mondays in August at 6:30 pm. $149 for the four-week session.
