Our 12 and a half year old Lillie crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. We are so heartbroken! She was the best girl! We called her the nanny dog as she loved our 6 grandchildren so much. Our 2 and a half year old Lizzie is going to be lost without her as will the rest of us! It went so quickly. My husband I were on a 3 week trip and naturally she got sick then. Our kids kept her pain free and comfortable until we returned. We needed to see her and she needed to see us! We had 2 days of sweet goodbyes before she left us. Still in shock how quickly things turned but so grateful to our kids and that we had some time with her at the end. Lillie will be happy to be greeted by Lexie and Lacie, our other 2 goldens for a big play date! Thankful for precious memories!
