Norma and Rick have been part of the Amina's Pet Care family since 2024, and I’ve had the privilege of getting to know some very special dogs in their home. 🤍

When I first met them, there was Riley and Layla, two rescue pitties who immediately stole my heart. After Riley passed due to health issues, they opened their home again—this time to Kane.

Kane came from Pasadena Animal Shelter, rescued by Three Little Pitties Rescue. He was underweight, struggling with skin issues, and needing time to heal physically, mentally, and emotionally. Norma and Rick poured so much patience, structure, training, and love into him, and what a transformation it has been. (Slide 2 & 3)

That once-scrawny shelter pup is now a strong, goofy little powerhouse with an electric personality. He’s playful, VERY talkative, and certainly isn’t shy about letting you know what’s on his mind. 😂

And sweet Layla is the calm to Kane’s chaos. She’s gentle, affectionate, incredibly patient, and has been by his side through his entire transition. But when a lizard enters the yard, all bets are off—our girl takes her lizard-chasing duties very seriously! 😂

Rescue holds a special place in my heart because it’s where my own journey in animal care began, so getting to care for families like this is incredibly meaningful. Every APC pet has their own story, personality, and journey, and getting to know and love each of them as individuals is one of the greatest privileges of what I do.

From Riley, to Layla and Kane, I’m grateful to have a little front-row seat (and permanent guest room 😉) to this family’s story. 🤍

Milo & Lilo have been part of the Amina's Pet Care Services family since 2022, and it’s been such an honor to be part of their lives ever since. 🤍

These two little beagles have BIG personalities. Lilo is sassy, spunky, and loves sleeping right next to you... just don’t try to cuddle her. 😆 She’s also a pro with her FluentPet buttons and will confidently press “hungry” even if she finished a big breakfast a few moments earlier. Safe to say, these two are VERY food motivated!

One of their favorite games is hide-and-seek with treats. I hide them in their toy box and they put those beagle noses to work. It’s basically the beagle equivalent of playing fetch with a Golden Retriever!

Milo is the easygoing adventurer, and one of the best parts of knowing him over the years has been watching his confidence grow. He used to be reactive on walks, and now he happily greets people we meet along the way. 🥹

When MC & King travel, they book overnight care so Milo & Lilo can stay comfortable at home and keep the routine they know and love. That means keeping up with their meals, supplements, teeth brushing, exercise, enrichment, and all the little details that are part of their everyday care. If a health concern comes up before their parents travel, their care doesn’t have to stop when they leave — we’re able to continue their existing care routine, follow instructions, monitor how they’re doing, and keep their parents updated along the way. That continuity and attention is such an important part of our overnight care, giving their parents peace of mind while they’re away.

Milo & Lilo are also big fans of our Pet Taxi Service, adding a little adventure to their stay with trips for pup cups, park visits, and outings around town. They LOVE riding in the car, exploring new places, and making friends along the way.

It’s been such a privilege caring for these two over the years. Here’s to many more adventures together! 🤍

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, my team or myself visits with Ms. Moore to care for her cats. They're usually tucked away in their favorite hiding spots, but that's okay because one of our favorite parts of each visit is spending time with her.

We always end up sharing wonderful conversations, and I leave every visit having learned something new. I truly cherish our time together.

Moments like these remind us that pet care is about so much more than caring for animals. It's about caring for the people who love them, too. We're incredibly proud to provide loving care for our clients' pets, but we're even more honored to serve the families and individuals in our community. Building meaningful relationships and making a positive difference in people's lives is what Amina Pet Care Services is all about. 🤍🐾

Meet Reese. 🤍

Reese has been part of the Amina Pet Care family since 2024, and it's been such a privilege to watch his family grow while being the person they trust to care for him whenever they travel.

When we first met, Reese wasn't sure about me. As a rescue, he was understandably cautious with new people. The first meet-and-greet was full of barking and growling, and even during my first overnight with him, he kept a close eye on me. But trust isn't something you rush. With patience, consistency, and experience working with reactive and rescue dogs, I let Reese set the pace. By the end of that first stay, he decided I was safe.

Since then, we've become the best of friends. Now he sleeps under the blankets with me, follows me from room to room, and greets me like family every time I arrive. Watching that transformation is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

One of my favorite memories was caring for Reese while his family attended a very special wedding. Being trusted during life's biggest moments is something I never take for granted, and I'm so thankful to continue supporting this wonderful family through every new chapter.

A few fun facts about Reese:
🐾 He insists on sleeping under a blanket.
🐾 He's affectionate, but only on his terms. Think of him as a dog with cat software.
🐾 He's fiercely independent... until he decides it's cuddle time.
🐾 Even with an acre to explore, he'll never say no to a good walk.

Jennie and Steven have trusted me with sweet Simba since 2023, and over the years it's become so much more than pet sitting. I've had the privilege of caring for Simba through everyday life, vacations, and even on their wedding day.

Knowing that a family feels completely at ease leaving their beloved pet in my care is something I never take for granted. Trust like that is earned, and it's one of the greatest honors of what I do.

Jennie, thank you for your incredibly kind words, your friendship, and for trusting me with Simba all these years. He truly has a special place in my heart. 🐾
