Sparrow and Brenda did very well on their first field trip! One of the most important things about training your dog is this: once everything is under control inside your house and around the neighborhood, it's time to get out into the wild! Dogs are extremely intelligent but they will not generalize the behaviors they learned at home out in every day situations if they don't get a chance to practice! Essentially they learn, "Ahhh, so the rules at home and around the neighborhood also apply here… At this dog friendly restaurant… At the pet store… At the Home Depot… At the airport, etc." make sure you don’t skip this valuable step in your training journey!
