Pale does not automatically mean dead.

A bleached coral can still be alive. Bleaching involves loss of symbiotic algae or their pigments, but color alone cannot identify the cause or confirm recovery.

There is no universal coral dip recipe.

Set your team up with dedicated containers, measured aquarium water, a measuring syringe, a timer and the protective equipment required by the product label.

Before dipping, confirm coral compatibility, dilution and contact time. Follow the manufacturer's dip and rinse directions. Keep dip water separate from rinse water and your display system.

Record the product, batch, timing and observations. Dipping is one biosecurity step, not a guarantee of pest-free coral. Continue observation in a separate system.
