Let's talk about Lipomas. They are typically benign, slow growing, fatty tumors. In most instances they are merely a cosmetic defect. In others they can become so large that they begin to cause pulling of the skin and discomfort for the patient. This Lipoma was removed from a 12 year old husky. He was in great physical condition and his labs did not have any major red flags. This removal was very satisfying but just two days later he chewed out my penrose drain and required surgical revision🙃 Stay tuned for updates and the final healed image for this sweet old man.

We are back to booking dentals everyone!! If you are on our waitlist I will be reaching out this week. Please avoid the hard dog bones people. I understand your dog may be OBSESSED with them but this can be the result for the tough chewers. When fractures extended beyond the gumline and you have pulpitis there is little left to be done. Of course we can consider a root canal but in my experience 99.9% of clients decline the option for referral for a chance to save the tooth. We ultimately removed both affected teeth and you could SMELL the difference immediately.
Her procedure was done under full general anesthesia with intravenous fluid support and vital monitoring. She also received a multimodal pain approach of a 24 hour injectable NSAID and local nerve blocks with additional pain meds going home. She woke up wagging her tail and ready to see her mom. Has your dog or cat ever broke their tooth? 🐾

Happy Independence Day to our great nation!! Thanks to all those who've service our country to allow us these freedoms!! If you known me for sometime then you also know I'm going to wish a very HAPPY SECOND BIRTHDAY to my beautiful, sassy, and Independent baby girl Nyla!

For our furry family please remember the following.

❤️ No cooked bones or people food that wasnt specially prepared for them without seasonings, onions, or garlic.

🤍 ABSOLUTELY NO CHOCOLATE CAKES (no matter how hard they hit you with puppy eyes)

💙Give them their oral sedatives if needed and make sure your microchip information is current and the gates ARE CLOSED and the leashes are on!! (Retractable ones DON'T COUNT!) Independence Day has the highest rates of pets getting lost out of all the holidays!

Hello It's meeeeee!!! Being a small town girl from Monroe, La. Its such a blessing to come to Houston and develop such a honest, compassionate, and professional reputation by just being ourselves and practicing good medicine and meeting my client where they are. I pray God continues to use us as a vessel for his fluffy creatures for years to come.
