Hermie Update!
From his new mom:
Well, it's been just over a week since I made a bit of a change here. Yes, I know that my Stitch can't be replaced, but a dog popped up on my feed on 8/21. I made a comment and was pretty much instantly encouraged to put in an application. Which I did later that evening. A few nights later, his foster mom and I had a wonderful conversation. A few days later, a week after seeing his picture, Hermie came up from south Arkansas to have a meet and greet with my crew. He became fast friends with the heathen, Hank. Hank has chewed off a harness, but corralled Hermie back when he slipped his collar. We are still fine-tuning things, but Hermie is settling in nicely. And, just in case you are wondering, Hermie is deaf. Special needs dogs tend to be euthanized relatively quickly in shelters in Arkansas. He is 38lbs of high energy Aussie. I'll happily be open to training suggestions. I am contemplating getting a training collar so we can work on perimeter training and recall. I'd like to eventually work on agility course training. Guess Ben's lessons for sit, stay, heel are getting put on the back burner!!! LOL!! (For those who don't know, Ben is my 19hh rescue Belgian horse who thinks he is a golden retriever)
