๐ŸŽ‰ Hermie found his forever near Clinton, AR! He will be living on fifteen acres in the country with other brother and sister dogs AND beautiful Ben, the horse. We will soon be posting photos of him at his new home.

His new Momma is an amazing lady who absolutely loves her fur babies. Now let's get out others homes! Vegas, the fully vetted deaf Bully who is playful and loving, Bobo, the big Am Staffy who is a professional lounger, Moose who is a Staffy/Aussie and loves walks and can shake on command or Toffee who we will feature tonight.

๐Ÿ• Toffee is an eight month old Lab mix who is a lover of all of God's Creatures. She is friends with dogs, cats, farm animals and fowls. Toffee came to us when one of our foster parents was touring a local shelter. She observed a staff member pulling this sweet girl toward the back and asked if she was getting adopted. Instead she was told of their struggle and how they had multiple people waiting to walk in with dogs they found as strays or had to surrender and Toffee was being taken to be euthanized at that very moment. Sadly her sibling was already gone. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Our foster looked at Toffee's sweet eyes and couldn't walk away from her at that moment, knowing she wasn't making it out if she didn't take her in that moment. She took the leash from the staff member and walked her to the front. So, she felt like this was what was meant to be and Toffee became ours.

Toffee is wonderful, playful and sweet. She is kind hearted and accepting of children and other animals. She is FULLY vetted, weighs in just over 35 pounds and already smart as a whip and has learned basic commands and wants to please her people.

We hope you see that spark in Toffee's eyes. We hope you see the reason we were led to that very spot at that very time to save her life.

Will you please give this precious girl a chance at the life she deserves? The one her sibling will never get to experience. If so, please DM us and submit an application at:

Update , we will post some photos of him with his new family when they send them in! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Defeated. We currently have five dogs sitting in foster homes with little to no interest. Yesterday, our hearts were broken again.

Hermie, our handsome, deaf but oh so intelligent, loving and high energy boy had a "meet and greet". The potential adopters wrote to us numerous times wanting to meet him and then suddenly disappeared into the clear blue when it was time to meet. Hermie had been bathed, loved on and was so excited about meeting his potential new people. He went to his foster moms work and waited.... all day. THEIR LOSS!

This high energy, fun loving Aussie is great with everyone and everything he has been tested with. He is full of energy, like the typical Australian Shepherd ... So, please know you won't get a couch potato with ths guy. You will get your farm roaming, swimming, hiking, playing , family loving boy.

Hermie is ready to join his forever family and is FULLY vetted and UTD on his HW prevention. Are you the one for Hermie? Let's do a meet-and-greet. Let Hermie show you what a good boy he is. Fill out our adoption application by following this link:

https://www.leeannsrescue.org/home/adoption-application

Please comment below if you submit an application. We hope you decide this fun loving boy is your guy. If he's not, we have several more available with differing personalities you can find on our website.

We are located in the Hot Springs, AR area but will consider transport for the right family.

If you can't adopt, please share or donate. We are still helping all of the dogs whose parents use our local Community Resource Center as well as vetting other animals for those less fortunate. All donations are tax deductible and if you don't want to donate online, you can donate directly to our account at Temperance Hill Animal Hospital . (LeeAnn's Rescue account)

We've been busy saving more dogs. Life has been beyond busy. With so many things going on, we've abused this page. Now things are starting to normalize we are hoping to have more time to let you know what all we have going on behind the scenes again.

Friday and Monday, super foster Mrs. Charlene, pulled two dogs from the City of Hot Springs Animal Services. We will tell one of their stories here, now.

Hermie is a fully vetted, been given his Proheart 6 shot and updated rabies vaccine. He is an Australian Shepherd. He had been at Animal Services almost a full month. Overlooked, forgotten and confused.

As you can tell by looking at him, he is completely deaf. He was living in a world of so much going on around him and lost.on his world of silence. He would approach people at the front of his kennel when they came in, yet they would walk right past him.

Monday, Charlene didn't walk past him, she loaded him up! Hermie is young, fun and loves other dogs. He is sociable, smart and even knows the commands sit and lay down, despite his disability. He deserves a loving, caring and welcoming home. Are you that home?

If you're interested in Hermie, please fill out an application at: www.leeannsrescue.org

We want to give a special thanks to Mrs. Tamara at Camp Barkansas for grooming him free of charge. He is now completely ready for you to adopt him.

We are located in the Hot Springs, Arkansas area. We hope he quickly finds his perfect home with you!

If Hermie is not the dog for you, please go to our website and check out Bobo, Moose and Vegas (who is also a deaf girl). They have all been long term fosters and need their forever homes.

We can't believe we still have three in foster care, all who have been super long-term. This keeps us from helping others because our fosters are full up. We desperately want to see these pups who all are amazing in their own way, to find their forevers.

Tonight, we are featuring Vegas. She went from being emaciated, dirty and forgotten with heartworms, intestinal parasites and metal ties around her neck, to healthy, beautiful and completely vetted with the help of one of our foster parents.

Vegas is now four years old. She is completely deaf, but understands commands through signs and responds amazingly with a vibrate collar. She has excelled with most other dogs, cats and birds. We recommend a meet and greet if you have other animals. Currently, she lives with numerous other dogs, kitties and fowl.

Please DM us if you're interested in adopting Vegas and we can get you to our webpage application.

Vegas is HW- , fully vetted and super loving. She needs a special family who will love her the way she deserves. She has been adopted from us twice in the time we have had her: one family suffered a sudden medical emergency of one of her parents. The other parent devoted all of their time to the care of their spouse in a facility and decided it was best to give Vegas back to us after almost a year of living with them. Then, she was adopted by a family who after several weeks we found was completely dishonest with us on their application. We took Vegas back for her safety. Vegas needs the one family who could loan her their couch and could receive cuddles and play outside with her when she has zoom zooms.

We are located in the Hot Springs, AR area, but will transport to the right family.

Adopt our sweet, loving, energetic girl.

Devastating. We lost our last of our four musketeers this last week. Zaksby, our "dock dog", our Velcro dog, our greet all the guests, lover of foster dogs and new pack members. Zaksby was only 8 years old. A little over two weeks ago, he began retaining fluids and became swollen. This began a week-long journey of nearly daily vet visits, thousands of dollars spent and doing all we could for our beloved boy.

He was diagnosed with: Lymphangiectasia. We thought we could fight it and Zaksby wanted to fight, but his body gave up on him Tuesday of this week, we made the painful, and devastating decision to euthanize him after he quit eating, his face and body swelled and he began bleeding within his body and it couldn't be repaired due to his blood cell counts.

This goes to show you, no matter how much you do, sometimes, it's not enough. Zaksby was owned by a homeless person who we encountered at work way back in 2018. He was mere puppy, but was walked around on a chain and padlock. The husband fell in love with him and brought him home. He quickly became a member of our family. He velcroed to me and our oldest kiddo and never failed to show us how much he loved us.

He fiercely loved his best buddy, Leo and put up with big ole Lily laying on top of him smothering him and sometimes biting him.

He dealt with Sadie, Middy and Cheddar who we fostered and lastly welcomed Zeke into the pack. They had their differences a few times, but, he always forgave the wild man and cuddled with him.

We don't understand why we only had 8 years with Zaksby. We love you boy. We know you are playing ball with Leo in Heaven and watching all the fisherman reel in the fish.

We will miss you for all of time sweet boy. You were a good boy, even though you barked like a maniac when we came home. We truly didn't deserve the love you gave us every single day regardless of how our day went, you just wanted to cuddle with us.

In Zaksby's honor, please consider donating to our tiny rescue or adopting from us, other rescues and shelters. It's crazy how much love you can find from a rescue dog. We found so much from Zak.

You're forever our son, Zaksby. If love could have saved you, you would have been with us forever.

Adopt: Vegas, Moose or Bobo
Scroll back and you can see each of their stories. They are all long term fosters who deserve love like Zaksby got.

As always, we are late posting but we have alot to cover!

In the last several weeks we have pulled four dogs from the City of Hot Springs Animal Services. They all have found amazing homes and we are so very happy for each of them!

We also have vetted several "at need" families dogs to prevent unwanted litters and help with vaccinations.

We also pulled a Boxer almost two months ago named Aphrodite. Aphrodite was surrendered when her younger Dad suddenly and unexpectedly passed away and her Grandpa inherited her. I've literally never seen a dog lose it like she did when her Grandpa drove away from the facility. She ran to a corner and began shaking and urinating. She was terrified and even attempted to bite me.

I realized immediately she needed time to decompress, so, I pulled her so she could go to foster and learn she was going to be okay. She lost everything she had ever known in a matter of two weeks so it was all understandable. Of course, she ended up being heartworm positive and behind on all vaccinations. So, we updated her and got her all cleared up. Our amazing foster momma Charlene prepared her for the right home and a week and a half ago she found her forever with two other Boxers on four acres fenced and with a loving family. We couldn't be happier for her. Her name is now DeeDee and she is so loved. We are so thankful to her new adoptive family! (Scroll to the last photos to see happy DeeDee now!)

All of this and sadly, we still have Vegas, Bobo and Moose in foster homes. Both Vegas and Bobo have been long term and both desperately need homes NOW.

Both will be reduced priced ($50.00 adoption fees) and we have fully vaccinated each .

Vegas foster can no longer care for her due to medical issues within the family and we are terrified we will have no place for her in a few weeks.

Vegas is a 3-4 year old short stocky Bully. But, she is far from a "bully" in real life. This deaf, lovely lady knows signs, loves MOST other dogs(as always we recommend a meet and greet), cats and birds. She has co-existed with all of the above successfully. She does well with older kids and families. She is smart, treat motivated, loves to play with other dogs and people and is very loving. Vegas gets the zoomies and is so much fun to watch.

Vegas has been dealt a horrible card in life first coming into HSAS starving, flea/tick infested, dirty and unloved with heartworms and parasites. She found an amazing family and lived with them for almost 10 months when her daddy, who was young experienced a sudden health issue and sadly was placed into a facility. Momma spent all her time at the facility so she gave her back to us. Then, she was adopted again and within a month of being adopted, we found the adopters had lied about their residential status and we decided it was best to take her back. Now, her only rock, her foster mom, can't hold onto her.

Y'all, this girl has been through so much awful. Can you be the light for her? If so, please DM us immediately and we will get you to our website for an application. We must find an amazing and loving home for Vegas asap.

We are located in the Hot Springs, AR area and will transport out of state to eligible adopters.

If you can't adopt, but want to help, please share our page with our dogs or donate to the link at: www.leeannsrescue.org

We thank each donor for helping us. Every donation goes to the care/vetting of all the dogs we have in our care and we vet for adopters and owners within Garland County.

Vegas, our silent, sweet deaf little lady ๐Ÿ’” is still in foster care. It's now been over one year since she looked like the first photo. Emaciated, mistreated, disposed of like trash and wanting so badly to be loved. Y'all, this girl is amazing and just keeps getting overlooked. Her foster mom reports she's been the best girl, sleeps solid and loves deeply. She deserves a forever home.

She was HW positive and all the other things. We got her healthy, vetted her and found her a loving family. Six months after she was adopted, that family experienced a horrible, heartbreaking situation when her adoptive Dad had a life changing medical episode and was hospitalized. Sadly, he was eventually placed into a long term care facility. Her adoptive mom tried to do all the things but, sadly didn't have time for Vegas while staying with her husband at the facility and trying to raise her son. We took Vegas back after eight months. Vegas was late on her HW vaccination, but we updated it as soon as we took possession of her in October.

Then, in November, she was adopted again by a family from 3 hours away. We were excited, until we realized things weren't what we were originally presented with. We did more digging and decided it was in everyone's interest to take her back.

Vegas has fought through SO much. We want her to find the best home. She has tested well with MOST dogs. She currently cohabitates with dogs, fowl and felines at her current foster home. She is loving, treat motivated and gets the zoomie-zooms when she's happy. We suggest a home with older children who she can cuddle with and play with as she zooms around.

She communicates through signs and a vibrate collar. Vegas is smart, fully trained and fully vetted. If you want to inquire about this squatty 4 year old who deserves her amazing forever, please DM us.

We are located in the Hot Springs, AR area and will transport. Please help us find her the home she needs.

In honor of the nine year anniversary of the day we found Leo after his disappearance and this dream of a rescue began, we are advertising our foster dog, MOOSE. โฃ๏ธ

Moose ๐ŸซŽ
Moose-errific, Moose-aroni, Moose-alini

He is now officially my longest foster I've had at my home. At first, I questioned, was he adoptable? I'm not going to lie, he seemed reactive and scared for no reason. He didn't like my husband and was often distant. As time passed, I realized he had obviously endured abuse in his previous life. We knew he had been dumped twice, but had no idea of his "home life". It took us some time and work to make it through the barriers in his heart, but with dedication and work, we did it! Now, he absolutely thrives. He loves everyone he meets and is very treat and toy motivated. Moose is a Staffordshire Terrier/Aussie mix who is around 3-4 years old and weighs 60 pounds. He is fully vetted and on HW and flea/tick prevention.

Moose now has turned into the easiest foster I've ever had over the last several months.
-He is perfect in his outdoor kennel. He loves his enclosed dog house.
-He loves going on walks and jogs with me. -He's never had one accident and is perfectly potty trained.
-He loves sunning, is the most gentle ever with all his toys and never tears anything up. He has had the same squeaky toys for months.
-He takes treats gently.
-You say, "Give me your belly." and he immediately flops over to receive belly rubs.
- He knows all basic commands.
-Moose loves to lean against you and look at you with so much love in his heart.

Moose needs his forever home. I can't foster him forever as I have messages daily to help others and can't as every foster I have is full and I am too.

Moose is easy to take care of. He goes out three times a day with one outing a day being his bonding time with us. Whether we go on a walk, jog or just cuddle: it's his time.

Moose would be great inside/outside dog. He would do great with a family with older children or an active family/person who will give him the love he deserves. I hurt for him as I want to give him the world, but can't since I have so many of my own and work so much.

Please consider adopting Moose. If you're interested, please DM us and we will get you to our online application. We can arrange a meet and greet if you have other dogs. Moose must go to a kitty free home.

We are located in the Hot Springs, AR area and will transport to eligible adopters.

Today, she went back in for her yearly vaccinations and we found the two month time gap where she didn't receive HW prevention was too long. She again is HW positive. It's SO devastating. We are again treating her and thankfully it's not big treatments, just some additional medications. Please, always stay on top of giving your animals HW prevention!

We were going to post about Vegas, who is still available and such an amazing girl, but we want to post about the loss of one of our alumni.

Koa, who was 9 years old was saved in March 2024. He was one of the worst cases of neglect/abuse we had ever seen who lived. He was located chained in a heap of trash to a tree by a logging chain by an environmental services worker who called Animal Services. It was evident Koa was in a very bad way. He was heartworm heavy and had every type of intestinal parasite. Worst of all, Koa was so emaciated, he couldn't stand without assistance and it took him over eight days to be able to walk any distance without help.

Because of each of you who shared and donated, we were able to nurse him back to health with the love and dedication of our amazing foster Charlene.

In May, Brittany and her wife Hillary saw our post and came down to visit Koa. They introduced him to the kids and decided they couldn't go back to Saline County without him.

Koa didn't just become their dog, he weaved his way into each fiber of their lives. He became a vital part of their life. He was the best boy who was cherished by every person who had the privilege to meet him. Koa was excellent with other animals and even though he was so abused for 9 years of his life, he chose to give pure, unadulterated love to every single being in this world.

Last month, he was diagnosed with some heart issues, (we are sure from the extensive heartworms he had in his prior life.) His family did all they could this last month to treat him, but the time came Friday when all medical treatments weren't working and Koa was so very tired. His entire family and extended family surrounded him as he left this world peacefully and loved.

His family is so very broken hearted. Mom Brittany reported, "he was my whole entire heart, my whole family's heartbeat and we're just broken."

We want to thank this family for giving Koa the last 20 months of love and care he deserved his entire life. We couldn't ask for better adopters.

We are heartbroken for them, but are so thankful for Koa impacting each of us and our rescue so greatly. Please pray for this family. We know: just a dog to some, but to others, their soulmates.
