Great News for Harvey!

Another happy ending for one of the Willows cats! Harvey gets to live his life in luxury without the looming threat of his home being destroyed. We are so overwhelmingly grateful to his wonderful adopter.

Time Is Running Out for 10 More Cats

While we celebrate Harvey, our work is far from over. We still have 10 cats needing placement, and time is ticking. The deadline of September 16th is coming up fast, and we are urgently seeking adopters or fosters. Happy news for one of the Willows cats because Tinker went to her forever home today! We still have 10 other cats waiting for their chance at forever, so please see our previous posts to see their pictures and descriptions. We are on a strict deadline, and come September 16th we will have no way to care for them because their home will be destroyed, leaving us desperate for placement. If you think you have room in your heart for one of these babies, please comment below or message us directly!

We want to send a huge thank you to Cahaba Spay & Neuter, Alford Avenue Veterinary Hospital, and Constant Companion for taking in 9 of our Willows cats today for their spay and neuter surgeries and/or wellness appointments. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated toward their care. We simply couldn't have given these sweet cats what they needed without your incredible support!

While these 9 are on the mend, we still have 10 wonderful cats at the Willows who are waiting to find their forever homes. Please consider opening your heart and home to one of these darlings. Meet Chichi (torti) and Griselda (gray), two of the Willows cats urgently needing placement before September 16th. Their owner loves them both dearly, but after a scramble to find a new place to live, he was unable to secure a home that allows pets. Instead of dumping them, he reached out to us for help. Since they grew up together, we are looking to keep this sweet, social pair in the same home. With Chichi and Griselda adding to the growing number of rescues, we are now up to 10 cats that need urgent placement before September 16th, when their current home and way of life will be destroyed.

Thanks to generous supporters, Anchovy's vetting is completely covered, so his future family can focus entirely on helping him settle in.

We have until September 16th to find him somewhere to go before his home is destroyed and we can no longer care for him. Tonight we officially began trapping the Willows cats who are heading to the wonderful homes offered so far.

However, we still have 5 cats who desperately need a place to go (and counting as people are dumping as they move out). Time is running out because we are on a strict deadline. These cats have until September 16th to find placement before their current location becomes an active construction site that we will no longer be allowed to enter.

Time is ticking for the cats at the Willows as their home will be destroyed and we will no longer be permitted to care for them after September 16th.

We want to take a moment to thank everyone who has donated and stepped up to help these cats!

Marmalade is one of the cats we currently need placement for. He is a bit nervous at first as he is still learning that human touch can be kind, but he is incredibly sweet once you give him a moment to adjust. Marmalade is not neutered yet, but thanks to your generosity we can fully fund his vetting so don’t let that deter you from bringing this handsome boy into your heart!

We are running out of time for Potato (aka "Tate") and his friends at the Willows!

At nine years young, Tate is a low-maintenance, affectionate couch potato who loves nothing more than curling up for a good cuddle. While he has lived around other cats, he is content doing his own thing as a peaceful loner. He is exceptionally gentle, loving, and gets along fantastically with toddlers and kids, making him a dream addition to almost any household.

Tate and the rest of the Willows cats face a strict deadline and must find placement by September 16th, when they will lose their home and our ability to feed them. Please check our previous posts to view the other wonderful cats who urgently need placement as well.

Thanks to community generosity, all vetting costs for Potato and the rest of the Willows cats are fully covered.

Time is running out for these precious cats, including this sweet neutered boy, who face losing their home by September 16th. Soon their shelter will be destroyed, and no one will be able to feed or care for them. Please check our previous post to see all of the cats desperately needing a rescue and family today.
