Tito is a 3-year-old, 37-pound pup who has endured more than most. Rescued from the streets and brought to the Weslaco shelter with a severely embedded collar that was put on as a puppy and never removed as he grew. Tito spent his life on the streets after fleeing his home, before finally finding safety. Now, he’s ready for the love and stability of a forever home.

Though he needs a brief warm-up period to feel secure, Tito quickly shows his affectionate side. He loves other dogs and is especially nurturing toward puppies, making him a wonderful companion for a household with another dog. Until he feels fully safe, he’ll do best with a harness and leash to help him build trust.

Tito is playful, gentle, and longing for a family to call his own. After surviving so much, he deserves a home where he can finally relax, be loved, and share his loyal heart.

Hes 14 lbs and apx 3 yrs old and came from our local Hondo, TX shelter. He is heartworm and Chagas negative.

He is from our local Hondo shelter. Unwanted. And I cannot understand why?! He gets along with all other dogs after a warm up period with some males... and he loves people. He would do well in just about any setting.

Meet Rooster, a tiny black short coat Chihuahua boy who is cute from nose to tail, with a little overbite that makes him look like he is always trying not to smile. He is one of three siblings, along with Chicklet and Peep, and their mama is Henny.

Rooster was just weaned from his mama and he is still no more than about three pounds. His mama is about twelve pounds, so Rooster is expected to stay on the small side. If you have ever wished you could put a bow tie on a puppy and have a perfect little companion to brighten your day, Rooster is ready for that role.

Like any tiny puppy, Rooster will thrive with gentle handling, close supervision, and a calm routine while he learns what it means to be safe and loved in a home.

Rooster came to Tracy’s Paws Rescue as a stray intake and he will be available after March 27th, 2026.

Rooster is too young for heartworm and Chagas testing at this time.

Lassie is heart worm negative. She did test positive for Ehrlichia and has started doxycycline for treatment. She will receive the care she needs as she continues moving toward adoption. She has been tested for Chagas and results are pending.
