Pawfect Match will Help this beautiful mom to be if we are able to find an approved committed foster home!
You don't have to be experienced at delivering puppies or pregnant mamas.
We are here to help with supplies and delivery if needed.
☀If you have no travel plans this summer, this is a wonderful thing to experience!
*Mamma and puppies need a separate space away from any other animals (bathroom, office, somewhere with a door that can be kept shut where they will not be bothered. Even the friendliest of mama dogs need to be protected & respected during this time! 💞)
🐾 Fostering a Mom & Puppies: What you could typically expect
Week 1&2
🐶 Mom does almost all the work
🍼 Puppies eat, sleep, and grow
🌡️ Keep mom and babies warm, quiet, and comfortable
❤️ Daily observation and lots of reassurance for mom
Week 2&3
👀 Puppies begin opening their eyes
🐾 Wobbly walking starts
📈 Monitor weights, still observing to be sure they are eating/peeing/pooping
🧺 More bedding changes and cleanup
🐶 Being sure mama is eating, drinking, and staying healthy while nursing
Week 3&4
🎾 Personalities start emerging
👃 Puppies begin exploring
🥣 Introduction to puppy food may begin
📸 Prepare for endless adorable photo opportunities
Week 4 - 6
🦷 Tiny teeth arrive
🐾 Puppies are active and curious
🎾 Playtime and enrichment increase
👨👩👧 Exposure to normal household sounds and routines
🐶🐶🐶We will start planning to separate pups in pairs or 3s
