Summer’s Training: Focus Through Every Distraction 🐾

Summer kicked off her session with a special setup: we met up with Juneau and his owners, using Juneau as a distraction dog. The two passed by each other while Summer practiced keeping a focused heel—great work staying tuned in! 👏

Next, we worked on long-leash recalls and holds. With Dexter joining in as a distraction, Summer practiced coming back when called—even in the middle of play. The goal: “come” means come, no matter what’s happening around her! 🐶✨

Bo Jackson Brings Focus to the Field 🐾💪

Bo Jackson worked through a focused training session with a distraction dog present. We drilled both formal and informal recalls, along with long stays and all of his commands on verbal cues.

We also added leash corrections whenever Bo broke a stay, reinforcing consistency and follow-through around distractions. Great work staying engaged, Bo! 👏🐶

✨ From Treats to Teamwork: Lula & Ella’s Training Session 🐾

Lula and Ella are making great progress! We started transitioning from baiting and luring to hand signals, removing treats from our hands for every command. This helps build clearer communication and brings us one step closer to verbal cues—with labeling as our next step.

We also introduced leash walking and practiced how and when to use corrections thoughtfully and consistently. Great work, girls! 🐶👏

Twix & Bama: More Reps, Stronger Responses 🐾🎓

This session, we focused primarily on Bama, working through all of his commands and giving him extra repetitions to strengthen his response to verbal cues. Bama needed a little more practice in this area than Twix, so we took the time to help him build greater consistency and reliability. Repetition helps reinforce what he’s learning and gives him more opportunities to respond confidently to each cue.

Bama also did a wonderful job with his stays across all commands. He showed great focus and held his positions well throughout the session. We’re proud of his effort and progress, and we’ll keep building on these skills in future training! 👏🐶

From Hand Signals to Clear Verbal Cues 🐾🗣️

Dottie worked on responding to verbal commands without relying on labels or hand signals. We removed the extra body-language cues and rewarded her when she followed a verbal cue perfectly on the first try—helping her build confidence and consistency.

We also practiced her place, down, and sit stays, with corrections when she broke position. Great focus and effort from Dottie as she sharpens these important skills! 🌟

Building Reliable Stays and Strong Recalls 🐾

Quincey’s training session focused on getting plenty of repetitions with two of his most important skills: staying in place and coming when called. We practiced off leash both indoors and outdoors, helping him work on responding reliably in different settings.

When Quincey broke a stay or needed his recall cue repeated, we added a correction to make expectations clear and encourage a prompt, consistent response. With continued practice, he’s building the focus and reliability these skills require. Great work, Quincey! 🌟
