Tsuki gave us a scare today. She hasnt been feeling well and she has a discharge that just isnt the normal after birth discharge. We were also worried because of her last blood work showing she was very anemic before birth.

We loaded her, the 7 puppies and Sally (incase she needed a blood transfusion) and headed to our vet.

Thankfully she only only has a uterine infection and just needs amoxi! Keep her and her pups in your thoughts and prayers!

A huge shout out to Dr. Doolittle and her entire staff at Elite Veterinary Services for their amazing care! Dr. D checked on momma all day Friday and over the weekend. They are the BEST veterinary hospital with a staff who is involved and cares about their patients!

Gauge did really good & had a great time running in the Oneworld Canine Obstacle Race October 2026 Rewind.

A huge shout out to our volunteer who picked him up from his foster home, entered him in the race, paid the entry fee and took him to Alabama just so he could participate in what Belgians are breed to do.

Sadly, Gauge isn't available for adoption yet, but will be soon!

💔 Our hearts are heavy tonight. Little Yumi, the smallest of Tsuki’s puppies, has passed away.

Her time here was far too short, but she was loved and she mattered. Please keep Tsuki, her babies, and everyone caring for them in your thoughts.

Rest gently, sweet Yumi. 🐾🌈

💕 She can’t hear you call her beautiful. But she can feel how much you love her.

Meet Helen Keller—5½ months old, about 7 pounds, and full of puppy energy! She is brave, playful, affectionate, and loves being held and cuddled.

Helen is deaf and blind, although we think she may detect bright lights or shadows. We know those words can make a potential adopter wonder, “Could I give her what she needs?”

Here’s what life with a puppy like Helen can look like:

🐾 You can communicate with her.
Dogs who are deaf and blind can learn gentle touch cues paired with treats. Consistent touches can become familiar messages. Everyone in the household should use the same cues, with patient, rewarding practice.

🏡 She can learn her way around.
Give her time to explore safely and learn where things belong. Keeping her bed, water, food, and furniture in familiar places helps. Clear pathways and textured mats can make navigating easier. If something must change, help her learn the new arrangement.

💕 You can build a loving bond.
Your scent, gentle touch, familiar routines, and time together all offer ways to connect. Helen already loves affection—and she has plenty to give back.

🛟 A few thoughtful precautions matter.
Gate stairs, block pools and other hazards, and use a secure harness and leash on outings. Off-leash play needs a securely enclosed space. Approach gently, especially when she’s sleeping, so she isn’t surprised by sudden handling.

🐶 Other pets need understanding, too.
Helen does well with dogs and cats who accept her disabilities. Introductions should be gradual and supervised: she may miss a growl or other warning that another pet wants space.

🌼 Expect a learning period.
She may hesitate, bump into things, or need extra guidance in unfamiliar places. Let her build confidence at her own pace. A reward-based trainer experienced with deaf and blind dogs can help your family learn together.

And remember—she’s still a puppy! She needs play, enrichment, gentle manners training, naps, and patience. She is already potty pad trained!

You don’t have to know everything on day one. You do need the time, patience, and commitment to learn alongside her.

We’ve got some exciting news to share with everyone!!! 🎉🏡❤️

We would love to take a moment to celebrate some of our AMAZING ADOPTIONS over the past few weeks! 🥹🐱🐶

First, we want to apologize for being a little behind on our adoption announcements! Life at the rescue has been a little crazy lately, and between caring for our babies, welcoming new faces, and keeping up with the everyday hustle and bustle, our posts have gotten a little behind!

But one thing we will NEVER get tired of sharing is HAPPY ENDINGS! 🥰

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of watching so many of our precious fur babies walk out our doors and into the arms of their forever families! ❤️

Some waited longer than others. Some came to us scared, broken, or unsure of what love even felt like. But every single one of them deserved this moment… THE MOMENT SOMEONE CHOSE THEM! 🥹💕

To all of our wonderful adopters, THANK YOU! Thank you for opening your hearts and homes, for choosing rescue, and for giving these beautiful souls the second chance they deserve.

And to our amazing fosters, volunteers, and supporters, these happy endings wouldn’t be possible without YOU! 🐾❤️
