We always love sharing success stories, and Gerold's Journey is one we need to share!
Gerold came to us at only a few days old, with his umbilical cord still attached, eyes closed, and completely helpless. A Good Samaritan found him all alone in a bank drive-through, and luckily one of our bottle feeders was able to make room for him. But Gerold’s story was far from over!
This little guy hit more than his fair share of bumps along the road to adoption. From an infected umbilical cord, to finding maggots on him, to weeks of severe constipation that required medical care, Gerold proved over and over again that he was a fighter. Throughout his struggles, his appetite was strong and his voice was even louder! His foster says Gerold was always happy to loudly alert her that heating up the bottle took *too long*. He clearly had character from a young age!
Thankfully, around 7 weeks old, he finally seemed to grow out of the last of his medical concerns. And from there, he GREW! 😂
Gerold has huge paws, huge ears, and is already bigger than foster siblings who are more than a month and a half older than him! At just 4.5 months old, this big boy is already over 6 pounds.
And yet somehow, his personality is even bigger. Gerold is one of the friendliest kittens you could ever meet and would happily spend his entire day cuddled up with his people.
Gerold’s journey from a tiny 2-day-old orphan to a happy, healthy 4.5-month-old kitten has definitely been a bumpy ride, but now he’s hoping for a smooth trip straight into his purrfect forever home!
