Rainstorm rescue! Do you think I was able to get him out of this mess? Please refrain from using this type of netting. It can be very dangerous for wildlife.

Poor little bird got hit by a car :( I stopped to pick him up. He seemed hot and tired but perked up as soon as I offered f water, he even picked at some offered seed. I called and left a message for the closest wildlife rehab but sadly he didn’t make it through the night. I was hoping he was just stunned but it seems like there was more internal damage done. We always do our best for any wildlife we come across, not just snakes!

Rattle damage is fairly common! Unfortunately, some kind of incident left this guy without an alarm system. After 2 to 3 sheds, He should be able to make some noise again.

New gear! I love finding things that make my life easier. Recently, I was wishing that I had something to carry around my buckets in, especially for releases where I have to hike the snake in. I decided to do an Internet search and it actually exists already! I just found this on the and it works pretty well!

Mantids are a really cool group of insects! This lady is from the genus Stagmomantis (I believe- please correct me). They are voracious predators eating, mostly insects, but will occasionally take down the lizard or small bird. They are great animals to have in your garden ❤️❤️ enjoy this beautiful girl! #
