So many great moments and so much progress this week! From the horses in training to my clients continuing to build stronger, more connected relationships with their horses, it’s been so rewarding to watch the little things start to come together.

Meet Irys, this beautiful 5 year old mare has recently joined my training program. 💛🐴

Irys has already had a great start, but somewhere along the way, a little bit of her confidence was eroded. She has also had some difficulty with things happening above her — something we’ll be spending plenty of time thoughtfully working through.

Our focus from here will be helping her rebuild that confidence through patience, consistency, and lots of thoughtful desensitizing. Helping her learn new sights, sounds, pressure, movement, and situations don’t have to be scary.

The goal isn’t to simply expose her to things until she “gets over it.” It’s to help her understand, process, and gain confidence in those situations.

She has so much potential, and I’m excited to help her find that confidence again and see just how much she’s capable of.

I had the opportunity to apprentice under Amy Franks, soaking up as much knowledge as I possibly could.

I’m incredibly thankful for Amy’s guidance and for the people in this industry who are willing to share their knowledge, experience, and perspective.

I’m so grateful for the opportunities God continues to put in front of me and for the people He places along the way.

Today was a reminder that being a good horsewoman isn’t about ever “knowing it all.” It’s about staying humble, staying curious, and continuing to learn.🐴❤️

Progress isn’t linear. And honestly? That’s one of my favorite parts of horsemanship. 🤎

Some days everything clicks.
Some days you feel like you’re taking three steps forward and two steps back.
And then there are the days where you realize just how far your horse has actually come.

This week, I’ve been feeling SO grateful for the progress I’m seeing across all of my horses. Not necessarily because every ride has been perfect—but because I’m seeing each of my horses trying their best to give me the correct answer.

Those moments of effort and willingness to try and the best moments to witness!

Horses are prey animals. They’re constantly looking for clarity, consistency, and someone they can trust to make decisions.

When the rules aren’t clear, they’ll make their own.

Not because they’re trying to be “bad,” but because horses need to understand where the boundaries are and what’s expected of them.

Your job as their partner is to make those rules BLACK & WHITE.

Clear boundaries. Clear communication. Consistent follow-through.

Address the small things before they become big things.

I truly couldn’t have asked for a better group of riders. Everyone came ready to learn, challenge themselves, and build a better partnership with their horse. 🤎🐴

I’m so proud of the effort, questions, and progress I saw throughout the day! Enjoyed watching everyone’s excitement over a friendly competition.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this clinic such a great one. I’m already looking forward to the next! 🫶🏼

Off to his new home.❤️

Mater has been one of my favorite transformations yet. Watching him leave for a family that already loves him so much is the best feeling.

I can’t wait to see what his future holds.
