It’s so fun to see how these pups grow and mature. Each morning puppies go outside, potty, eat their breakfast and run around a bit, wrestle with each other but mostly…they want to sit with me and be petted and cuddled! The rain has cut our playtime on the grass a bit short, but then we just sit on our covered back deck and listen to the rain and the birds calling, roosters crowing, an occasional car go by, and watch the sun come up. 😍 This is my happy place! This morning we sat there for an hour while they sat in my lap and I dried them with a towel. We’d work on puppy pushups and I’d toss tug toys on top of the Bosu ball, throw a Kong in the crate and watch all 5 puppies try to be in the crate at once. Eventually they were lulled to sleep by the rain and I could have stayed longer but there were cleanup chores to do, so we all went inside. They are so sweet, so alert and curious, and love anything new!
This photo is from another day, without rain. And I actually got a video of them while practicing the re-calls. Watch the next video to see how much they’ve improved! Love my Cottonwood Labradoodle Puppies!😘

At Cottonwood Labradoodles the Bosu ball is a great toy for teaching pups to balance! Turn it over and it becomes a blue mountain to climb.🙂

Cottonwood Stevie Mae and Legendary’s Lil Man Tate’s Puppies are 7 weeks old❣️
What a great week we had at the ranch. We got so much needed rains and our sweet pups didn’t melt!😂 They also didn’t mind the rain, or thunder and lightening. One very loud clap of thunder gave us all a startle but pups recovered quickly. Puppies have loved learning to balance on the bosu ball and Purple girl💜was the first to lead everyone to run through the blue tunnel, with no assists needed from humans! Crate training is going well and we’ll all take a ride in the jeep today to a mystery destination.
Exploring new spaces in positive ways is all part of making puppies resilient and ready for our Cottonwood Puppy Families. Tomorrow is our Veterinary visit which will bring first vaccinations, microchipping, and a 13 point health check with lots of treats offered. Temperament Testing on Friday with our Certified Professional Dog Trainer Kelly Spencer is always a highlight and an integral part in making our puppy matches to our families. Another busy week with only 9 days until Puppy Pickup Day❣️Stay tuned for more photos and videos of our Cottonwood Puppy Adventures.😃
