Well Facebook only allows 1 video. Kit Kat made his second competitive run this weekend and was a second faster than last weekend! My daughter has done a great job with him doing all the barrel work with some advice from a few special people, Melissa and Wendy. She had 2 great pole runs where Saturday she and the old man were mid 23, which is the fastest they have ever been! Sunday she sat a little early and took out an end pole but still a good run. Breakaway was a struggle for everyone with high winds all weekend. I really am liking the versatility of the horses we are raising. Regular ranch work, dragging calves, good start roping and now a good start for the barrels and he’s taken it all in stride. His half brother is a working ranch horse and was started roping before he left. We have another half brother, yearling available now. Reach out if you’re interested. It’s been a couple of days since I posted anything but we have been busy with other things. Here’s my daughter riding our gelding Caroline’s Smart Kat for his second ever exhibition at Chase the Ace last night. A couple days before he was gathering and dragging calves to the fire.
