Think fostering isn’t for you? You might be surprised 👀

There are so many misconceptions about fostering, and we’re here to bust a few of them. The truth is, fostering can be easier, more rewarding, and more life-changing than you think.

Right now, we desperately need fosters. We have animals coming in every day, and so many more who need a safe place to land. Opening your home, can be the difference between an animal getting a second chance & not euthanized.

Swipe through, rethink what you know about fostering, and consider being the reason an animal gets their happy ending❤️

👻 Goblin & Ghoul might sound like trouble, but these two are actually just tiny little cuddle bugs 😂

These 8-week-old Chihuahua mixes were rescued from the high-kill shelter, and all they want in life is to curl up in your lap and snuggle. They’re tiny, sweet, and wonderfully quiet… honestly, the only thing big about these boys is their ears 🥹

They’re expected to stay small, so if you’re looking for a little buddy to love on, these two might be your guys 🖤

🚨 It’s Five Dollar Friday, and Girly Pop needs us! 🚨

Girly Pop is a six-month-old Frenchie who Henderson Animal Control reached out to us about late yesterday.
Unfortunately, this adorable little girl has tested positive for PARVO and is currently hospitalized, receiving treatment.

Here’s the hard part: parvo treatment is EXPENSIVE.
We typically spend anywhere from $1,200–$3,000 per dog, depending on how sick they are and how long they need to stay hospitalized. But we believe in providing the gold standard of care because every animal deserves the best possible chance at a healthy life ❤️

That’s where we ask our community to step in 🥹

It’s $5 Friday, and we’re asking for your help covering Girly Pop’s medical bills. Five dollars might not seem like much, but when a community comes together, those donations add up FAST.

🐾 Want to help Girly Pop?

💸 Venmo - Vegas Roots Rescue (nothing extra at all!)
💸 Zelle & Apple Pay - 702-503-4535
💻 Donate directly at VegasRootsRescue.com

Every dollar helps us get her the care she needs.
Please donate if you can, share if you can’t, and send this little girl all the good vibes. Right now, our only job is getting Girly Pop healthy 🩷

Did you know that high-kill shelters send out an at-risk list every single day?
That’s a list of animals who are at risk of being euthanized 😔💔

Yesterday, we pulled a staggering number of animals from that list, and Buffy was one of them.
Why was she on the list?
She had simply been at the shelter too long.

Buffy is about 4½ months old and 27 pounds of scruffy, half-blue-eyed perfection. She’s incredibly loving, easygoing, and great with other dogs. She’s the kind of puppy who just wants to be near her people and soak up all the love she can get.

She was out of time at the shelter. But now she’s with us & gets the chance to find the family she was always supposed to have 🥹

If Buffy sounds like your girl, submit an interest application on our website and let’s get this sweet baby home 🏡❤️

Meet Lizzie, a four-month-old Cane Corso with the sweetest, softest personality ❤️

Lizzie is 34 pounds of pure baby — she’s gentle, a little docile, good with other dogs, and looking for love.

She came to us from The Animal Foundation with a wound on her leg, likely from being tied up with wire.
She’s clearly been through something, but it hasn’t stopped her from being a love bug.

Lizzie also has hip dysplasia, which means she walks a little funky. What that means for her future is impossible to know right now. She may develop mobility issues as she grows, or she could live a completely normal life. Only time will tell.

And because we know that uncertainty can feel scary, her adopter won’t be navigating it alone. We will remain a resource for Lizzie and her family. If her mobility changes as she grows and she needs care or support, we will help in every way possible.

What we do know is that Lizzie deserves a forever home willing to love her exactly as she is.

And just a reminder: Cane Corsos are big ol’ kids, so this sweet baby does have plenty of growing left to do 😂

PEPPA PIG HAS ENTERED THE CHAT 🐷😂

And honestly… look at her. The tiny ears. The scrunchy little face. The underbite. The giant eyes. She is the most ridiculous little potato, and we are absolutely obsessed with her.

But behind that adorable face is a girl who has clearly had a really hard life.

Peppa is only 4 years old, and it’s obvious that breeding is all she has ever known. Her body tells the story — her little ears were cropped far too short, and her saggy belly and ni***es are a pretty heartbreaking reminder of just how many babies she’s likely been forced to have.

She ended up at The Animal Foundation, and after a meeting we walked the bungalows and just couldn’t leave her behind.
So we pulled her.

Because after everything this little girl has been through, we want to see Peppa get the happily ever after she should have had all along ❤️

✨ MODEL MONDAY ✨

Rotisserie Chicken, Artichoke & Kombucha have decided they’re models now… and honestly, we’re not mad about it 📸

Serving face. Serving angles. Serving “why the hell am I still here?” 😂

They’re about 3 months old, expected to be under 25 lbs full grown, and good with dogs & kids. Basically, tiny models with excellent references.

They’ve got the looks. They’ve got the personalities. They just need someone to finally say, “Yep. That’s my dog.” 🥹❤️

Could one of these little models be your forever sidekick?
