🐴 Looking for a Lease / Lesson Horse! 🐴

We’re searching for a very special horse to join our English program on a care lease or very low-cost lease.

We’re looking for:
• 15+ hands, but preferably under 17h — we already have a solid big guy! 😉
• A true beginner-friendly, grandma-safe type
• Quiet, forgiving, dependable and happy to teach
• Suitable for equitation, W/T/C through crossrails
• Ideally a horse that could handle a partial lease plus a couple of lessons each week
• Maintenance is absolutely fine within reason
• Located within about 2 hours of Dallas so we can come meet and try them

Most importantly, this horse would receive incredibly good care, turnout and management at our facility. We’re a small program and our horses are truly part of the family. ❤️

Who wants to work with horses at a great facility in Rockwall County, Texas?

Part-time help needed IMMEDIATELY at Willow Farm in Heath!

Duties include feeding, watering, turnout, cleaning and bedding stalls, cleaning and filling troughs and general barn and horse care.

Requirements:
• 18 years or older, preferred, but will consider 16-17 yo as long as you have the right experience
• Legally able to work in US
• RELIABLE, works independently and responsibly. You will often be working by yourself.
• MUST have experience working in a similar-sized (or larger) boarding, training/show barn, with references. Pay is based on experience and work ethic.
• Detail oriented and takes pride in your work
• Reliable transportation
• English speaking
• Must pass a background check
• Housing is not included

🐴 WEEKEND BARN POSITION AVAILABLE 🐴

Willow Farm, an English riding barn in Heath (Rockwall County), is looking for a reliable, experienced horse person to join our weekend team!

Weekend shifts needed:
• Friday evening
• Saturday evening
• Sunday morning
• Sunday evening

Morning shifts are approximately 2 hours, and evening shifts are 3–4 hours.

Must be 16+ and MUST be reliable. When we say reliable, we mean “even with a sniffly nose” reliable! 😄 Our horses count on us every day, and we need someone who will show up when scheduled and can be counted on.

💰 Competitive pay
🐎 OR opportunity to trade some work for riding time and lessons
📈 Potential for additional hours depending on experience and skill set.

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, comfortable handling horses, and willing to help with the day-to-day care and upkeep of a busy English training and lesson barn.

Experience with horses is required. Additional skills such as grooming, riding, barn maintenance, or other equestrian experience are a plus.

Willow Farm offers riding lessons for all ages and experience levels, from first-time riders to those looking to advance their skills. Our programs include:
✨ Mini Lessons (most Saturdays) for ages 3–5 – the perfect introduction to horses in a fun, safe environment.
✨ Children’s and adult lesson programs with a few openings currently available.
✨ Expert instruction in Hunters, Jumpers, Dressage, and Eventing.

Whether your goal is to build confidence, develop new skills, or simply enjoy time with horses, we’d love to welcome you to the Willow Farm family.
