Early Morning Thoughts of a Rescuer:
Sometimes, I find myself hoping that Reincarnation is a thing. I LOVE Dog Rescue and being immersed in it. If I come back, I want to be born to people that run an Elephant Rescue. I want to grow up soaking in all the knowledge, all the stuff about basic care, socializing, rehab, release...and I guess Id better become an elephant vet while I'm at it. And a pilot so I can fly to other rescues that need a vet. See what I mean? I just need a whole other life to do all that stuff. And I could never leave the Emotional Rescue Dogs.

Does anyone else think about stuff like that? It can't be just me. So, let's establish that you still get to cosmically choose your friends and family, what else are you going to pick for your next life? The sky's the limit this morning. Tell me all about it!

❤️ Its $5 Friday! There's a lot cooking at our little Rescue as we keeping helping the dogs that other rescues pass over. Gimme and her puppy just arrived. She has heartworm and we'll be getting her stronger and weaning her puppy over the next few weeks before we start treatment!Treatment isn't easy nor inexpensive but these dogs deserve a chance at a long, happy and healthy life. If you can help them with $5 today, its very appreciated.

As always, let me explain that we don't have a nonprofit tax designation. Donations are not tax deductible. I strive to help as many medically needy dogs as possible, many who live permanently as Sanctuary Dogs but MANY more who become adoptable. For 9 years, I've heard The Whisper and rescued some amazing, desperate dogs. That's not going to change.

Isn't it amazing how our pups start off having NOBODY to care for them to feeling love from an entire community? Need proof? Raise your hand if you know about Rockets infatuation with sticks. Now wiggle your fingers if you where here when he got adopted and promptly lost during the winter. I needed a lot of hand holding with that one one as I drove HOURS to retrieve him.

Here's your reminder that Salsa is blind. Sometimes, she gets turned around, a little lost or confused. Here, she knows that "something" is right in front of her but she hasn't realized that its the HOUSE and she's giving it a little warning not to try any funny business. I think she may be bonked into it, if you see the little wet nose mark. Yes, she also has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which accounts for only having two feet on the ground.

Normally, Salsa gets around very well. Irene often herds her while she runs and of course, Im there too when she gets "lost" on the fenced property.
