We’re Samantha & Pete—a husband-and-wife team, animal lovers, and the two hearts behind Wags & Woof.
Pete grew up surrounded by all kinds of pets, and his love and understanding of animals is something he has carried with him throughout his life. In fact, my own passion and love for animals was inspired by Pete—it’s something he helped bring into my life and that has grown into a huge part of who we are today.
We’re no strangers to the joy that comes from being surrounded by animals. What began as a dream of spending our evenings and weekends caring for pets slowly grew into something much bigger—a small, dedicated pet care business built on compassion, trust, and a whole lot of love.
And small is exactly how we intend to keep it.
Wags & Woof is intentionally a team of two. It’s always one or both of us. Nothing more. Nothing less. When you welcome us into your home, you’ll always know who is caring for your pets. To us, consistency isn’t just a convenience; it’s part of building trust, creating comfort, and giving your pets the sense of familiarity they deserve.
For Samantha, her connection with animals has always been something deeply personal—something that comes naturally and comes straight from the heart. She has a quiet way of understanding them, even when they can’t quite tell us what they need. There’s a gentleness about her that helps even the shyest and most uncertain souls feel safe, seen, and understood.
Over the years, that love has grown into a deep commitment to rescue, fostering, and advocating for animals who simply needed someone to believe in them. She has always had a soft spot for the ones who need a little extra patience, a little extra reassurance, and someone willing to meet them exactly where they are. And that same compassion follows her into every visit, every walk, and every pet she cares for.
Pete is the steady heart beside Samantha—dependable, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive to the little things. He’s the one calling back when a call is missed, the one at every meet & greet, and, naturally, the one who has to be included in your pet’s care group chat. He may not always respond, but you can bet he’s in the background loving every photo I send and occasionally sneaking in a text or two—because who wants to feel left out? 😂
Pete makes sure every pet’s individual needs are noticed, understood, and cared for. He keeps track of medications and administers them with care and precision, and makes sure even the smallest details never slip through the cracks. His devotion may be quiet, but it’s unwavering—and when it comes to the pets in our care, he’s just as invested, just as protective, and just as full of love.
Together, we’ve built more than a pet care business. We’ve built something that feels like an extension of our own home and our own family—a place where pets are treated with patience, respect, compassion, and, yes, a little bit of royalty. 👑
Our journey into pet care was also shaped by two incredibly difficult experiences of trusting the wrong people with our own pets. Those experiences stayed with us. They changed the way we look at pet care and made us promise ourselves that if we were ever given the opportunity to care for someone else’s pets, we would never take that trust lightly.
For more than three years, we’ve poured our hearts into keeping that promise.
We know that when you leave your pet with someone, you’re not simply handing over a set of instructions. You’re trusting us with a little piece of your heart—the one who greets you at the door, follows you from room to room, and makes your house feel like home. That kind of trust is something we hold close, and we never take it for granted.
We believe there is always more to learn, and every animal we meet teaches us something new. We continue to grow, learn, and better ourselves because they deserve nothing less.
At the end of the day, we’re simply two people who love animals and feel incredibly lucky to spend our days hanging out with pets. We’re grateful for every hello, every tail wag, every little moment, and every bit of trust you place in us.
