PROTECT YOUR PETS!
With scorching heat expected this weekend, please remember to take care of your pets!
It's obvious that you should never leave your pet in a hot car, but many forget about the hot pavement.
The scorching sun can heat up concrete and asphalt to ridiculous levels which can easily burn and blister your dog's delicate paw pads.
It's best to walk your dog in the early morning or late evening when the ground is much cooler. This will prevent their paws from getting burned and greatly reduce the risk of heatstroke.
Make sure there is a constant supply of fresh drinking water and make sure animals have access to shade.
Take care of yourselves as well!
