Darlington Rescue is a dedicated team of volunteers whose goal is to reduce the euthanasia rate at Darlington County Humane Society, improve the health of all shelter pets through providing veterinary, and medical care, and to provide a safe and loving care at the 'Bridge' facility while waiting to transport to approved Rescue partners. Due to a lack of funds, our pets would go untreated for injur

‼️RESCUE PUPDATE‼️ Koda has been in his adoptive home for 7 months and is doing so well! He’s become best friends with one of his feline siblings, finally decided he didn’t mind snow, has gotten to meet lots of dog friends, and “enjoys long car rides to his grandparents' house.” So happy for you Koda, and thank you family for choosing a rescue dog.

🚨‼️SULLY…WAITING PATIENTLY FOR A NEW HOME‼️🚨

🚨Adopted from DCHS in late December, Sully was returned in late January when his person moved and was unable to take him along. Sully is a handsome 2 year old, 51lb, heart worm negative terrier mix who is dog friendly, walks well on a leash, and loves spending time with his people. During his Valentine's Day outing in Hartsville, Sully enjoyed yummy doggy cheesecake with bacon bits and a walk through Kalmia Gardens. Sully rode great in the car and he soaked up every bit of attention and showed everyone what a great companion he is.

❤️Sully is GREAT with other dogs, he has a cute little hoppy play style, is a very polite player or is fine just hanging out. Sully enjoys his toys too, happily playing with some teen volunteers. Have a pond, lake or stream? Sully enjoys the kiddie pool and has the potential to be a great water dog. Sully is the complete package! Now he's patiently waiting to meet someone who will give him the forever home he deserves. Please ask for Sully, located in Hartsville SC.

👑King is a handsome 1-2 year old, 50lb heart worm positive terrier/lab mix looking for an active forever home. This dog friendly boy is loving, friendly, and full of adventure! King came to the shelter as an owner surrender when his family could no longer care for him, and now he's hoping someone will give him a second chance at happiness. King will be undergoing heart worm treatment soon, don’t let that keep you from asking about him, he’s been waiting far too long in a kennel.

🐾”Hey y'all, I'm King and I'm looking for a fun and adventurous home! I was one of the lucky dogs chosen to go out on a Paws Around the P*e Dee event and I had the BEST time! My handler friends said I'm friendly, smart, and energetic. I loved exploring Kalmia Gardens and while I could use a little more leash training, I'm eager to learn and promise I'll catch on fast.
After our walk, I got to hang out at Wild Heart Brewing where I met lots of people, kids, and other dogs. I enjoyed yummy treats and showed everyone that I know how to sit! I'm sweet, loving, and always ready to accept hugs and give kisses in return. Although I love other dogs and people I’m not good with cats. Please ask for me soon, or share my post so I can find my people. I'm waiting for my forever family in Hartsville, SC!”
