This sweet little fella was found in the middle of the road, covered in fleas and starving. He was rescued by a sweet girl and brought to our rescue. After an hour of picking fleas and ticks off of him, he’s 🧼 clean, has a full tummy, & is enjoying snuggles!!
This sweet boy needs the perfect name and a foster.

Today we sprung Katniss from the vet after her spay and eye surgery, and she’s recovering like the little warrior she is. ❤️ A MASSIVE THANK YOU to the crew at Animal Medical Center for all the love they show to our rescues!!

It’s hard to believe this sweet girl is the same dog who came from a heartbreaking hoarding case where more than 100 dogs were forced to live chained to barrels. That was her reality… but it isn’t her future.

Today, Katniss is discovering what it means to be loved. She’s doing wonderfully with house training, adores being surrounded by her people, and absolutely lights up around kids. Every day she becomes a little braver, a little more confident, and a little more convinced that humans can be kind.

Watching her transform from a dog who simply survived into one who is finally learning to live has been nothing short of incredible.

She still has some healing to do, but we know her best days are ahead of her. Now all she needs is the forever family she has always deserved. ❤️

The last 3 photos are from when she was rescued. She is still thin, but gaining weight now that she is being fed daily and has had vet care.

🍯 Honey is the kind of dog that reminds you why rescue is worth it. ❤️

Some dogs are just… easy to love. Honey is one of those dogs.

She’s the first one to greet you with a wagging tail, happy to make a new friend—whether you have two legs or four. She doesn’t ask for much… just a soft place to nap, a few belly rubs, and someone to love.

Honey is:
🐾 3–4 years old
🐾 Corgi/Doxie mix (low rider, maximum cuteness!)
🐾 Great with dogs, people, and children
🐾 Spayed
🐾 Vaccinated
🐾 Heartworm negative
🐾 House & crate trained

She checks every box, yet somehow she’s still waiting.

Maybe her family just hasn’t seen her yet.

Right now, Honey needs either a foster home or a forever home. Fostering saves lives by opening a spot for another dog in need, and if you decide she’s your perfect match… well, we can’t say we’d blame you. 🥹

Meet Katniss. ❤️

Just a short time ago, Katniss was surviving—not living.

She was rescued from the Bledsoe County hoarding case, where she spent her days confined to a barrel. She is painfully emaciated, has a wound to her eye that requires surgery, and has clearly endured far more than any dog ever should.

And yet… she still chooses to trust.

She leans in for affection. She rides quietly in the car like she’s been doing it her whole life. She’s wonderful with kids, is crate trained, and all she seems to want is a soft place to lay her head and someone to love.

Every time we look at her, we’re reminded that dogs have an incredible capacity to forgive.

Katniss is now searching for a foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can recover, gain weight, and finally learn what it feels like to be part of a family.

She will be having surgery on her eye at Animal Medical Center in Harriman. While we are not a 501(c)(3)… yet, if you would like to help Katniss, donations can be made directly to Animal Medical Center toward her medical care (Account is under Tiffany Dewberry-Moore) Every dollar goes straight to helping this sweet girl heal.

If you can’t donate, please consider sharing her story. The right foster may simply not have seen her yet.

Let’s make sure the rest of Katniss’s story looks nothing like the beginning. She deserves a life filled with comfy beds, full meals, belly rubs, and people who will never let her down again. ❤️🐾
