270 will be down until next year. Sadly I have broken two transverse processes and will be down for a minimum of 2 months. Next year things will be adjusted and I will gladly go over that in the future. For now say some prayers for me (Sammi) as I’m physically and mentally drained. Anyone who knows me knows I can’t sit still and am always outdoors. This is going to be a long road of doing nothing which hurts worse than the actual pain.

For everyone asking, yes it was a horse accident but it was just that an accident. The horse is in no way at fault for this nor myself. It’s just happened the way that it did.

In honor of National Day of the Cowgirl, we’d like to recognize two of our very own.

Words by the late and great Dolly Parton “don’t be a lady, be a legend!” And that’s just what they are around here.

Others seem to have forgotten.
I remember watching people jump holding hands while on fire.
I remember canines and rescuers not returning.
I remember families searching for their loved ones.
I remember the state of fear that we all had.
I remember the sense of unity we all felt after.
I remember the anger we all held.

What happened to that anger? When did so many forget the horrors of this day?
I’ll choose to remember

What a day 🥵 I’m sunburnt and exhausted. But after 11 hours I’m calling it. First three spotted horses are complete starts. I’m talking halter breaking doesn’t know what a brush is “starts.” My round pen has a few new dents from some jumps but everyone ended on a somewhat high note and no injuries.

Lilly the black mare has a lot of potential. She was once broke but has holes we are filling in and restarting. We are looking for safe, gives to pressure, and self confidence.
