I’M BAAAAACK! 🩵🐴🐮

First things first, a HUGE thank you to Dr. Sarah for holding down the fort while I was out enjoying some much-needed time with the newest Creek Valley Vet family member, Walker, and focusing on healing myself. She did a fantastic job, and I am so incredibly appreciative of her!

I’m beyond excited to be back and seeing all of you again, although I’ll definitely miss my days spent snuggling my newborn. 🥹

That being said, please be patient with us over the next few weeks as we settle into our new normal — which may occasionally include a cute little assistant riding along in the truck with us! 🩵

We’ll be keeping our schedule a little lighter for regularly scheduled calls while we adjust to life with our newest family member, so please schedule with as much advance notice as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this exciting new chapter!

Most of all, THANK YOU for being so incredibly understanding, supportive, and loving toward Walker. He’s one lucky little guy to have the whole Creek Valley Vet family looking out for him. 🥰

I can’t wait to catch up with everyone, get back out on the farms, and see all your animals again!

With love (and probably a little less sleep),
Dr. Petra 🩵

🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸

Today we remember September 11, 2001 — the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who ran toward the danger when everyone else was trying to get away.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, military personnel, and countless first responders who answered the call that day. Many never made it home. They gave their lives in service to others, and we will forever be grateful for their courage and sacrifice.

We also remember the four-legged heroes who served alongside them. 🐾 Search-and-rescue dogs worked tirelessly through the devastation, searching for survivors and helping bring comfort to those who desperately needed it. Their loyalty and courage will never be forgotten.

And as we remember 9/11, let us also remember 9/12.

The day after the tragedy, we stood together. We flew our flags. We thanked our first responders. We put aside our differences and remembered what it meant to be Americans — united, compassionate, and proud of our country. 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, may we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who sacrificed everything, or the sense of patriotism and unity that followed.

Remember their names.
Honor their sacrifice.
Thank those who serve.
And never forget. 🇺🇸🐾

🐴 🐮HELP US GIVE A BIG CREEK VALLEY WELCOME TO DR. SARAH WINGO! 🐮🐴

It’s time to introduce our relief veterinarian! Dr. Sarah Wingo will be joining Creek Valley Veterinary Services next week and will be with us for the next 6 weeks, helping cover regularly scheduled appointments as well as daytime and after-hours emergencies.

“Hi! I’m Sarah Wingo! 👋 I grew up on a farm in Nashville, TN, and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for both my undergraduate and veterinary degrees. After veterinary school, I continued my education with a year-long specialized internship at an equine hospital in Ocala, Florida. Since completing my internship in 2023, I’ve been working as a traveling veterinarian.

My professional interests include emergency cases, reproduction, and herd wellness, but I love the variety that veterinary medicine brings, so I’ll happily see just about anything! 🐴🐮🐐🐑🐷

I also have a special interest in performance horses, including lameness and poor-performance evaluations, with the goal of keeping horses feeling their best and performing at their peak.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me skiing or hiking in the mountains somewhere!” 🏔️ - Dr. Sarah

We are so excited to have Dr. Sarah joining the Creek Valley family and helping keep things running smoothly over the next several weeks. We know she’ll be a wonderful addition to our team and hope you’ll help us give her a big Creek Valley welcome! 🙌

📞 Call or text: 330-341-2788

🚨 If you have an emergency, please CALL! Don’t wait to send a text or Facebook message. Calling is the best way to make sure we know about your emergency and can get you and your animal the help you need as quickly as possible.

And one more note from Dr. Petra: Thank you, as always, for your continued support while I’m out on maternity leave. I’m so incredibly grateful for this Creek Valley family and all of the support you’ve shown me during this exciting transition. I’m so excited for this next era and can’t wait to share it all with you! 🩵🩵🩵
