Merit Chihuahuas breed to the AKC standard.

Our goal is to produce show quality chihuahuas and bring our beautiful dogs to the shows as a personal hobby. We’ve selected the finest AKC Show quality and most impressive pedigree chihuahuas for our breeding program. We aim to produce sound, healthy, beautiful Chihuahuas with superior temperaments, confidence, and appearance for exhibiting, companionship and show-potential pups. All of our breeders are Embarked and free of breed specific genetic variants, as well as having their hearts and patellas cleared as "normal". Occasionally we have pups for placement. Our adorable puppies range from $3000 and up for loving homes, show potential/small home-breeders. Follow us on Facebook: Merit Chihuahuas

CHAMBERSBURG AREA KENNEL CLUB’s 50th and 51st show.

Merit’s AWESOME long-coated Chihuahua glided across the ring with a breathtaking, seamless gait, moving with a fluid grace that defied his tiny stature. Carrying his head high with absolute poise and unshakeable confidence, this little competitor commanded the attention of everyone ringside, perfectly embodying the large-and-in-charge personality the breed is famous for. Though the judge ultimately went a different direction for the winning ribbon, this exquisite little guy left the ring with his tail wagging high—having won the hearts of the crowd as the unofficial "people's choice."
Accolades to Patty Alleman, our handler. She has a unique bond, intense discipline, and profound trust which is required to work seamlessly with a canine partner.
We’re enjoying our journey. 😁

The American Kennel Club notes that while co-ownership is common for show dogs and breeding stock, it is officially not recommended by the organization due to the complex disputes that can arise.

Thank you, Kim and Rodney Mann, for this opportunity. Gorgeous will make you proud and I'm excited to see what my little group of Chi's will produce.

Snapping phone shots causes “Gorgeous” to lose focus, but she eagerly enjoys the game and seems to be a quick study. We have a long ways to go but she’ll be ready by the Fall. 🍂🍁🌾
