Hot, real hot! Today we split spring nucs so they can requeen and build for the winter. Five leftover spring nuc hives became eleven nuc hives. Six need to requeen, and that won't be easy. Hard work in the heat.

Up over 100 today! A water source is critical for my girls. I found this idea on a commercial bee keepers page. They fill a bucket, and drop a towel into it. The towel wicks water that the bees can drink. Simple...don't over think it. I replace the towel when it gets pretty torn up, this one is ready. Yes, I saved the swimmer, she's good! (Rescued bees don't sting) 😂
