HEY YOU. YEAH, YOU.

“Ummm… excuse me? 🤨 Do you KNOW what time it is?! Why are YOU still awake? Shouldn’t you be in bed by now?!

I’m a bird. I don’t even have a bedtime. But somehow, I’m still judging your life choices.

Now put the phone down, go to sleep, and let me get back to doing being adorable.. Thank you. 😌💅🏼

Somebody tell this little cutie that they are supposed to be a bird, not a professional heart-stealer. 😭💚

Look at that face. Those cheeks. We are giving main character energy!

💚 FUN FACT: Conures are known for their playful personalities, curious nature, and big voices packed into surprisingly small bodies. They’re intelligent, social birds who need plenty of enrichment, attention, and toys to keep their busy little minds happy!

Meet the Savannah Monitor (Varanus exanthematicus), this reptile is native to the grasslands and savannas of sub-Saharan Africa.

🔎 5 FACTS ABOUT SAVANNAH MONITORS

1. They're Built for Digging!
Savannah monitors are excellent burrowers. In the wild, they dig to find shelter, escape extreme temperatures, and explore their surroundings.

2. That Tongue Is More Than Just Cute!
Ever notice a monitor flicking its forked tongue? It's gathering chemical cues from its surroundings to help investigate the world around it.

3. Their Natural Diet Might Surprise You!
Although they're carnivores, savannah monitors naturally eat plenty of invertebrates, including insects and snails.

4. Heat and UVB Are so important!
These reptiles need carefully managed temperatures, a proper basking area, appropriate UVB lighting, and enough space to move naturally. Getting their environment right is essential for their long-term health.

5. They're a Long-Term Commitment!
Savannah monitors can live for 10–15 years or longer with proper care. They can grow around 3–4 feet long, and their strong jaws, sharp claws, and powerful tails deserve respect.
