🎓 Congratulations to Sadie on completing her Board & Train Program! 🐾🤍🖤
I have to start by saying how much I absolutely loved having Sadie with us. She is one of those dogs who loves HARD. 😂 She is incredibly friendly, affectionate, social, and genuinely means well.
The problem? Sadie had absolutely no idea what was right and what was wrong… and somehow she chose wrong more often than not. 😂
When Sadie came to us, she was extremely hyperactive and reactive. She pulled on the leash, couldn’t settle, had very little impulse control, and had basically no obedience. Her interactions with both dogs and people were also very inappropriate. Not because she wanted to hurt anyone, but because nobody had taught her how to properly control all that excitement and energy.
She was basically a whole lot of love with absolutely no brakes. 😂❤️
Our goal wasn’t to change Sadie’s personality. We LOVE who she is. Our job was to teach her how to control herself, communicate with her humans, and make better decisions while still allowing her to be the happy, goofy, loving Dalmatian she has always been.
And I can proudly say that after working with Sadie AND her mom, those days are behind them.
Today, Sadie walks beautifully on leash, understands how to settle, has much better manners around dogs and people, and is fully off-leash trained. Most importantly, she now understands what we’re asking of her and actually listens!
This is exactly what we mean when we talk about creating a Companion Dog. We don’t want robots. We want dogs that can enjoy life, have freedom, be themselves, and still listen when it matters.
Sadie, it was truly a pleasure having you here. We’re going to miss that crazy Dalmatian personality. 😂🤍🖤
