I am VERY sad and disappointed by what occurred today.

We made the decision to pack up and leave our local event early after being set up for only about 1.5 hours.

I completely understand that our products and our style are not for everyone. Some people may prefer a simple “DO NOT PET” collar, while others want something much more bold and direct like “F**K OFF.” We get that! Everyone has different preferences, and that is perfectly okay.

What I will never understand is the need for disgusted looks and gestures, or intentionally disrespectful behavior toward a small business simply because something on our table isn’t your style.

I was disrespected multiple times this morning, including having someone intentionally knock merchandise off our display table before I made the decision to pack up and go home. Unfortunately, experiences like today are a major reason we made the decision to stop attending in person events.

PLEASE use this as a reminder to just BE KIND. Small businesses are trying incredibly hard. There are REAL people behind these names who have spent countless hours, money, and effort creating what you see.

If you don’t like what a business sells, that’s okay. Smile, keep walking, and let someone else enjoy it. You don’t have to understand or like something to treat the person behind it with respect.

Today absolutely hurt my heart and I am taking the rest of the day off.

Kindness is always free. Make someone’s day don’t ruin it. 🖤
