Mr. Roo here had his nails trimmed yesterday! He was a little unsure about it, but definitely seemed to appreciate the easier walking 💜

🐾 Did you know? On top of a lot of other issues, long nails can make it painful/uncomfortable for pets to walk as they cannot walk properly

Some animal's nails grow faster than others, so always keep an eye open to make sure they're not too long! 🐶

Did you know?

🐶Some cats and dogs have extra digits on their "wrist" called a dew-claw! That nail tends to be overlooked as it can be hidden behind extra fluff!🐱

Nails can grow fairly fast, with some animals needing a trim every 2 weeks. ANY claw/nail can be overlooked, and a missed nail trim can easily cause pain and disaster. Their nails, if left to grow constantly, can actually grow INTO the toe!😬
That can cause major discomfort, pain, swelling, and bleeding! They may act differently or not want to walk because of it.

That is why Ears and Tails does more than simply clip the nails. I grind/file them down as well! That way, there's no sharpness from the fresh trim and it files closer to the quik more than what a simple clip can do!💅

The pup in the photo has LONG quiks, the nerve ending in their nails, but I always trim as close as possible without hitting it! The file helps with that a ton🐶
