If you have enjoyed watching the puppies in the “Time for a Vacation Litter” born November 26, 2025, please feel free to join the Vacation Litter group within Locust Hill. If you have a puppy from the Vacation Litter, please join this litter group, I will then invite you to become an administrator of the group which will enable you to post pictures and videos of your little one.

Now that the puppies from the November 2025, "Time for a Vacation Litter" have gone to their forever homes. I would like to ask all of the families to post pictures, videos and updates right here on the Locust Hill Berners page. So many people have watched and shared in the lives of these puppies over the last two months, I know everyone would love to watch their development and fun adventures.

I would also like to invite anyone that has a Locust Hill Berner to post pictures, videos, fun adventures of their puppies/dogs here. I know most of the groups have their own private litter group but everyone (those in the groups and those not members of the groups) would love to see pictures, videos and updates of all of the puppies that started their lives here at Locust Hill.

Louie!!! Orange changed his name to Louie on Saturday! I’m thrilled to share that he won’t be moving far from his birthplace. As a matter of fact, he’s moving about 40 yards away, to the home right next door!! Congratulations to Mira, Walter, Pierce, Frankie, Simone and Wally on welcoming your second Locust Hill Berner into your family. Louie is so lucky to be joining a family with three fun, wonderful children, awesome parents and a very large (bigger than his dad…) Berner brother, Frankie (from our New York State Parks litter). Louie is going to have so much fun with Mira, Water and Pierce and he’s so lucky to be able to grow up with them. We have also been sent video of Louie playing with Frankie. It seems that they both love having a Berner buddy to play with. I’ll ask Simone to share video from Louie’s first day at home with Frankie. I have to admit, I’m also selfishly thrilled that Louie is going to be living right next door. Frankie comes over to visit at least twice a day to see if anyone wants to come out an play. He walks up to the sliding glass door in our living room and looks in to see if anyone is up for coming out. I look forward to Frankie teaching Louie how to do this (once the snow here is down to a level Louie can get through) and I can’t wait to look up and see both of them looking in through the glass sliding door. We are so, so happy for all of you. Thank you for being wonderful neighbors, friends, parents, puppy parents and now family (everyone with one of our puppies is considered family, so I guess you’re now family-squared).

So happy for Miller (Green) and his new owner Thomas!! Miller will be making his home in the wonderful college town of Athens, GA. Miller will be our first puppy placed in Georgia, but our second puppy/adult Berner, living in Georgia (Chomp, from the National Forests Litter, recently relocated from NYC to Atlanta with his family Siobhan and Andrew). Thomas is good friends with Grace and Frank who adopted Mac from our Mountain Range Litter. Grace and Frank plan to meet up with Thomas, Miller, Siobhan, Andrew and Chomp in March. Please share pictures with all of us here. Thomas grew up in Athens and his family resides there. Miller is so lucky to have two adult Bernadoodles (owned by Thomas’s parents) to play with and get into mischief with. Miller’s best buddy while here at Locust Hill, was Bumbles (Pink). The two of them were always teasing the others, stealing toys or pushing the boundaries of what they could or couldn’t get away with. It was hard to tell who was the leader or follower. We are hoping Miller will be able to find a willing accomplice to have fun and wreak havoc with. We are also so happy that Miller will be living in a college town atmosphere, full of young, fun loving students. We are sure Miller will have the good fortune to make lots of new friends in this wonderful, fun, college atmosphere. So happy for both of you!!! Can’t wait to see you again little buddy…

Congratulations Emily, Zach and Margot on the adoption of your second Locust Hill Bernese Mountain Dog, Toby (Toblerone, previously Burgandy). Toby will be living in Haddon Township, NJ just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. I have toured the neighborhood Toby will be living in via Google street view, full of old massive old growth trees and beautiful homes. Zach has also told me that the neighbors all know each other and are very friendly, which will be a wonderful place for Toby to grow up. Toby is also lucky to already have a two-and-a-half-year-old big sister, Margot, to teach him how to be a wonderful family member, to play, snuggle and explore with. Margot is a full sibling to Toby from our Beaches Litter, born in August of 2023. Toby was the snuggler of the litter, often waking me up in the middle of the night, while I was sleeping in the nursery with the puppies. After waking me, I would pick him up and place him on my chest/stomach/lap. He would snuggle in and sleep with me for several hours before wiggling around to let me know it was time to let him down. I have seen pictures of Toby and Margot and it seems that Toby has already found his new snuggle partner. I must say, I’m feeling a bit jealous. We are so happy for all four of you!! I truly wish we didn’t live so far away from each other. We can’t wait to see you again little buddy!!

The only girl of the litter, Bumbles (Pink), has been adopted by a wonderful couple, Paula and Glenn, who live about an hour and 15 minutes south of us in Olean, NY. Bumbles will be living in a beautiful 1890’s Victorian home with a big yard to play in and several siblings… a 13-year old Pappion/Jack Russel mix (Miss Molly), two adult cats (Miss Morgan and Miss Simmons, who are already dog friendly) and a 3-year old Yellow Headed Parrot (Miss Lola). She will live in the middle of wonderful tree lined village, which will be wonderful to walk through and meet many, many new friends. Bumbles also will have 18 wonderful grand children to enjoy ranging in age from 6 to 22 years of age. Bumbles is enjoying her new home and family. I have already seen a video of Bumbles pulling Miss Molly across the floor while playing tug of war (Bernese were bred to pull, so are very strong at this task, even at a young age). I have also received word that Bumbles is convinced that every toy in the house, no matter who it actually belongs to, should be hers, or at least hers to play with. We are so happy for you Bumbles, we know you are going to have a wonderful, fun filled life! Congratulations Paula and Glenn! Thank you so much for welcoming this feisty, loving little girl into your fold…

We are so happy for Ashleigh and Alex with the adoption of their little guy Abe (Yellow). We are thrilled that Abe will be living only 2 miles away in our little village of Hamburg. He will have a wonderful village with tree-lined streets to walk on. The village is filled with kind and friendly adults and children. I am sure Abe will make so many friends, so quickly. Every winter Abe will have plentiful snow to enjoy while living in the center of the heaviest snow belt in Western NY! From a selfish perspective, we are so happy that he will be living just down the road in the village. We will be hoping to see him every once in a while, when he’s out walking with Ashleigh and Alex. We are all so happy for the three of you, but especially happy for you Abe, because we know you are going to have a wonderful life! Come back and visit your mom, dad, grandmom, aunt (Cathasaigh) and your human grandpa (me)! We miss you already little buddy…

Congratulations to Esme, Eli, Parker, Bennet, Ashley and Jewerl on the adoption of your new puppy, Wells (Blue). Wells (or Wellie) will be living halfway between Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, IN in a beautiful rural town. He is going to have such a wonderful life with four young children to play and grow with him. He also has already had several visits to the local college at which Jewerl works. He has made many new friends while visiting the college and he is already quite popular with the students. Wells is also an assistant to Jewerl and the children during their weekly Saturday night grocery shopping outings. Wells was so well behaved and loved at the store that the store employees asked that they bring Wells with them every week when the family does their grocery shopping. Such a lucky little guy! We are so happy for him and the entire family!! Miss you little buddy...
