Haines City Farm Animal Rescue Hello, my name is Joshua (Josh) and I along with my wife(Sabrena) run the Haines City Farm Animal Rescue. We are currently accepting poultry of any kind.

For the last 6 years we have been taking in unwanted, abused or sick farm animals. Chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, geese, quail and turkeys. We also accept sheep, lambs and goats. Even donkeys. Unfortunately we cannot accept any horses, cows or pigs. We DO NOT accept cats or dogs of any breed. We do quarantine all incoming guests for up to 7 to 10 days to assess their health and temperament.

We recently took in a new duck (a Muscovy). During its intake exam Sabrena noticed a “lump” on it’s neck. After a close look she noticed the “lump” was indeed an acorn. Yes an acorn. It had actually begun to grow into it’s neck. Sabrena carefully removed it and performed the proper first aid. It’s all good now. The new residents name is now…. Acorn.
