We are committed to helping animals of all shapes and sizes meet their forever families. A small animal rescue in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Sadie is looking for a home! 🐶

This beautiful blue eyed husky mix will be a year old in June. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and fantastic will all other animals! Sadie is what we call socially-bombproof; we can put her with any dog, even the others other dogs don't like, and she's great. Best Friend Material, but across all species 😆 She is also a lovebug, and enjoys cuddling any chance she gets. She's on the more medium-sized side, and actually not a talker, despite her breed. Her stellar pup resume also includes that she's house trained, crate trained, fantastic on a leash, and knows 'sit'! 😍

Sadie came to us from OKCAW's euth list. She had an old injury to her leg that our vet suspects happened when she was pretty young 💔 The previous fracture was already healed by the time she got to the shelter, but due to that leg being shorter than the other hind leg, she still does not put weight on it while running. Our vet assured us she does not need it amputated at this time, and her 'fancy leg' does not slow her down or cause her pain- it just makes her unique. ✨

Cooper is looking for a home! 🐶

If you're a fan of goofy, playful idiots, Cooper is your pup. This boy has 2 brain cells and they only care about TOYS and SWIMMING. Cooper loves water so much, he thought a water bowl was an acceptable puddle 🤦‍♀️ So we gave him his own tub, which he fills with mud (and himself) all day. If he's not splashing around in every drop of water he can find, he's playing with his toys. His favorites are a sturdy red ball, and a giant plastic macaroni 😅 He will wiggle his butt over to you while holding them in his mouth to say hi.

Cooper is just 1 year old, so he's still very much a dumb puppy. He's rowdy, he's happy-go-lucky, and he's eager to sit for the camera if it gets him any attention- no treats needed! 😋 Cooper has been neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He's good with a doggy door, ok on a leash, and tolerates crate time. He likes most female dogs, but doesn't always get along with other males. He does play rough, so we don't think cats are a good idea. As for his breed- pit mix, but your guess is as good as ours for what else is in there 🤷‍♀️ He's medium sized, with a shorter muzzle than any pit we've ever seen. Maybe a seal, considering how much he likes the water.

We think Cooper's ideal family will be one that likes to take their dog on adventures with them, has older kids, and a fenced back yard. He's a very sweet playful boy, but we won't sugar coat that he's full of beans for the first half hour he meets someone 😂 Then he plunks his round little butt down on your feet.

Penny is looking for a home! 😻

This beautiful tabby girl came to us as a spicy older kitten, and has decided yes, we were right, human touches ARE pretty nice actually! 😂 Penny is 1 year old, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is fantastic with other cats and ok with dogs, but children might be a little more noise and energy than she's up for.

Anyone who's 'de-spiced' an outside kitty can tell you, it takes a long while for them to stop thinking you're going to eat them every time you walk towards them. Penny may duck and cover at first, but once she knows she's safe, she'll seek out pets and company 🥰 At the rescue she enjoys sitting on the couch with visitors and Bandito the chihuahua, or playing on the cat trees. She'd do very well with some feline company in her new home to show her it's a safe, comfortable place to be.

Spider Mite is looking for a home! 🐶

'Particular' is probably the best word to describe this 4 year old chihuahua... Spider is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is great with both peepads or a doggy door. He has a lot of the typical chihuahua attitude, but also the charm once he trusts someone. That trust does not come easy unless you're a soft voiced little lady 👵

While young kids really aren't his favorite 😅 Spider is his best self with women in general. He'd love to be an old lady's lap dog (and guard dog, lets be real). He is great with other dogs of all sizes, and very polite with cats and kittens. He loves his big comfy beds at the rescue, and likes to follow Sandy around every chance he gets. He even lets her carry him like a baby 😂 But our handyman? Heck no.

Before National Rescue Dog Day 🐶 is over, we'd love to re-introduce you to Myah. We made her first Adoptable post a year ago, and despite multiple adoption events, a couple foster homes, and even a trial adoption, nothing has really stuck. 😔 She will have been with us for 2 years soon. 💔

Myah is a 7 year old Pit bull. She is spayed, fully vaccinated (even for rattlesnakes!), and microchipped. She is mostly house trained, but does need someone with a solid routine to let her out on a schedule, or there will be accidents if she's left waiting too long. While Myah does get along with most other dogs, she would prefer to be in a home with only a few canine friends, rather than a big squad. Older kids are ok, and confident adult cats are fine (though she does bully them occasionally). Myah is not good with livestock of any kind 😅 and needs a securely fenced yard or leashed walks. Don't let her age fool you, this girl can run and jump just like a young dog when she is motivated!

The couch is Myah's favorite spot to nap, but her second favorite is on your feet, or with you in bed. She is about 60lbs, and a total pillow hog. At the rescue, she enjoys following volunteers around while they clean, leaning on our legs, and snoring loudly while sprawled out for a snooze in the afternoons.

Bandito is looking for a home! 🐶

This tiny couch potato would love a new sofa to take up residence on! Bandito is a 3 year old, 8lb chihuahua who has been with us an entire year, undergoing a process lovingly called 'de-spicing' 🌶🌶🌶😆 Now that Bandito is less habanero, more poblano, we are happy to announce that he is ready for a family. He no longer delivers sass with every introduction, and instead has decided human strangers are pretty ok so long as they're ready to provide treats and a lap to sit on. If you've met most sassy chihuahuas, you know the vibe 🙄

Bandito is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and fantastic with cats! 🐈 He loves to snooze on the couch with his kitty friends, and we think a home with some feline roomates would be perfect for him. Older children and a couple other dogs would be ok too, but this is not a pup who appreciates a surprise pickup.😅 Uppies are only acceptable once he trusts you, but it will take time to get to that point. Dinner first, at the very least.

🐈 We cannot help what we cannot house. 😔 FOSTER HOME NEEDED! 📣

Kitten Season is here 😭 and we have recieved several urgent Kitten Intake Requests. Do you have room to temporarily house 5 little fluffs? They are eating canned food, trying kibble, and are around 7 weeks old. They are old enough to be left home in a secure space with extra food while you go to work.

Sandy's Sanctuary will provide kitty supply assistance, and cover the cost of vetting the kittens to get them adoption ready 💚 You provide love, a roof over their head, and important socialization! Bonus: all the kitten snuggles you could ever want 🥰

Update: Adoption Pending 👀

Bobby is looking for a home! 🐶

This handsome boy was found near Guthrie High School a couple, but despite numerous attempts to contact his owner, the phone number attached to his microchip is incorrect, and he went unclaimed. 😔 According to Bobby's vet records, he is approximately 5 years old (but a very young 5! Nice teeth!). He is neutered, vaccinated, house trained, crate trained, and fantastic on a leash. Bobby has gotten along with kids, cats, and all dogs he's met so far!

Bobby is a larger dog, but not quite XL. We suspect he is a Shepherd/Pyrenees mix, maybe with some extra flavoring 😂 Despite that size, he is extremely gentle, and even let children walk him around the block the day he was found. He does give a few big Guard Dog Boofs when a stranger comes to the yard, but does not try to jump a 4ft fence, and listens very well to commands. He would make an amazing family dog for folks on a farm, or even in town. He's happy to nap at your feet, or accompany a new family where ever they go.

Lydia is looking for a home, or new foster! 🐶

This sugar faced lab mix is 8 years old, and seeking a family that has no other pets. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, house trained, crate trained, and fantastic on a leash. Lydia even likes to run alongside a bike if you're someone who rides often! She knows 'Sit', 'Down', 'Crate' and 'Leave It'.

Lydia is dog reactive if there is a fence involved, but has lived with other dogs in the past. She also really prefers older humans to young folks, and has been enjoying her time in a foster home that is out in the boonies 🚜. She loves to snuggle her foster dad on the couch, but at night sleeps in her own bed without issue.

🧜‍♀️ Ariel update! 📣🐠

Our beautiful FIP warrior has just 20 days left on medication, providing all goes well with her exit bloodwork 👀 she has done so well with treatment, but we've noticed something that could use some work... her teeth! 😬

For cats undergoing FIP treatment, its safer to have any stressful things (like spay or surgery 🏥) happen during the medication phase, rather than during observation, so we'd love to have her in for a dental cleaning before she's had her last dose of meds.
