We grow more than 20 species of gourmet mushrooms in Gurnee, IL, and now you can get them onto your table two ways: order online and we'll deliver fresh to your door within 24 hours, or come say hi at a farmers market across Lake and Cook County most weekends.

A couple of things I’ve put real love into:

A cause for every cap. 10% of every sale goes to a partner non-profit matched to your mushroom. Lion's Mane helps fund families impacted by Alzheimer's. Golden Oyster supports veterans' mental health. Pink Oyster supports women in need, etc. We grow, you cook, and together we give.

A 57-recipe cookbook three for every mushroom we grow, all written and many tested in our own kitchen. Real ingredients, 30 to 45 minutes, and the mushroom is always the star. Vegan and Vegan-friendly options included!

When we started MotorSpores, the mission wasn't just to grow good mushrooms. It was to give back, and we've tried to make our small corner of the mycology world a little better than we found it.

This year, we want to give back to the people who taught us this craft in the first place, the mycology community itself.

Like a lot of small farms, we used to track our batches on spreadsheets. Sticky notes. Half-remembered dates. It worked until it didn't. So over the past few months, we built our own tool, TurboBatch. It tracks every batch from inoculation through harvest, prints Avery 48660 labels in one click, logs yield per strain, and sends a daily email of everything that needs attention.

We're sharing it. Free.
