Rihanna’s story started on the side of a busy road. It should not have.

She and her family were abandoned with nowhere to go and tragically, one of her siblings did not survive. But Rihanna did and thanks to a Good Samaritan and the care she has received at Straydog, this sweet girl is getting the second chance she deserves.

Now Rihanna is ready for the best part of her story: a family of her own.

She would love a home with kids to grow up and play with or a home where she gets to be your one and only. Either way, she is ready to be loved.

Pat and Bill dedicated their lives to rescuing and caring for dogs in need and built Straydog from that commitment. It is incredibly upsetting to see their story being used to mislead people who simply want to help animals.

Some dogs just have a way of making you smile. Mellow is one of them. 💙

This 5 month old Great Pyrenees mix came to Straydog after being hit by a car and needing surgery on his hip. That is a pretty rough start for such a young pup, but you would never know it by watching him now.

Mellow is healed, happy, smart, patient, and very serious about two things: playing in the water and having fun with his toys. He also happens to have excellent table manners, which we think deserves a little recognition. 😂

He is about 35 pounds now and ready to trade shelter life for a family of his own.

And here is your reminder: There are NO adoption fees for the entire month of August! ❤️
