A lot of hard work went into getting the Gulf Breeze Zoo ready to welcome guests again!

Our Gulf Breeze Zoo team, along with staff from Alabama Safari Park, worked tirelessly on cleanup following Hurricane Isaias.

A big thank-you to everyone who helped make it possible. ❤️

Now we're counting down to Boo at the Zoo this weekend, October 24 & 25!

The wait is almost over.

Boo at the Zoo kicks off this Saturday with trick-or-treating, face painting, animal encounters and plenty of reasons for the kids to ask, "Can we do that again?"

October 24, 25, 31 & November 1

Already purchased Boo tickets for one of our canceled weekends? They're valid on any remaining Boo date.

Some Zoo experiences never get old. Especially when a giraffe leans down to take a piece of lettuce right from your hand!

There's something about being that close to one of the tallest animals in the world that makes even grown-ups feel like kids again.

Have you stopped by to feed the giraffes lately?

There are two kinds of Boo preparation, and we all wound up with a little more time for it.

Theirs: deciding what to wear.

Yours: remembering the trick-or-treat bag or bucket.

Looks like you've got the harder job. 🎃

And if the bucket somehow gets left at home? We've got you covered. Commemorative Boo at the Zoo trick-or-treat bags will be available for purchase during the event.

Now all you have to do is get everyone out the door in costume.

Boo at the Zoo begins this Saturday, October 24!

10/20/2026

We've had to wait a little longer for the costumes, the candy and the kids who insist on doing everything "one more time."

But now we're finally getting close.

Boo at the Zoo begins this Saturday, October 24! 🎃

Four days of trick-or-treating, bounce houses, face painting, animal encounters and Halloween memories are waiting.

International Sloth Day is a pretty big deal around here. Whether Salsa and Delores plan to make a big deal out of it is another story. 🦥

If you've ever wanted to spend a little quality time with these laid-back sloths, our Sloth Encounters are the perfect opportunity to slow down and get to know them up close.

Book your Sloth Encounter and make some time for Salsa and Delores!

Looks like the flamingos are making some new friends! 🦩

They've moved into the Budgie Adventure Aviary, where they're sharing space with the scarlet ibis and Linus, our peacock.

It's a colorful new crowd, and we think they make pretty good company!

Stop by and say hello on your next visit.

Our Boo at the Zoo calendar has changed, but the Halloween fun is still on!

Thanks to an incredible response from our returning vendors, October 24 and 25 are now fully booked!

We're still looking for businesses and community organizations to join our Trick-or-Treat Trail on October 31 and November 1.

Whether you were originally signed up for one of our canceled weekends or you're joining us for the first time, we'd love to have you be part of this year's Boo at the Zoo.

It's a great opportunity to connect with local families, share some treats and help make Halloween a little more memorable.

Our first weekend back has been a little different.

Hurricane Isaias left its mark on the Gulf Breeze Zoo. But this weekend, we got to open our gates again and welcome families back.

We're grateful to everyone who came to see us, and to those who have been cheering us on from home.

The Zoo may look different, but we're glad to be sharing it with you again.
