Pookie is the sweetest, chattiest little gentleman you'll ever meet. He loves people, loves attention, loves Churus, and has the most adorable Chewbacca-esque noises to let you know he'd appreciate a few chin scratches.

Because Pookie has more medical needs than most seniors in our care, he's looking for a Sanctuary Home within 25 miles of Woodstock, IL. The best part of being a Sanctuary Home? Young at Heart takes care of the hard stuff. We provide his veterinary care through our in-house clinic, as well as everyday supplies as needed. You just need to provide the warmth, care, and love of a home.

He gets along well with other cats, has been polite with cat-savvy dogs, and would be thrilled to spend his golden years in a cozy home filled with conversation, snacks, and people who think black cats are as magical as we do.

Pookie doesn't need you to worry about the bills. He just needs someone to open their home and heart to one very good boy. ❤️
