Hi! I’m Russell. I’m a 15 lb Silky Terrier mix and I’m about two years old. I am a sensitive, opinionated guy and I am looking for just the right human to love and understand me. I am timid and suspicious when I meet new people so you have to go slow and allow me to get to know you at my own pace. Once we have made friends I’ll be your loyal, devoted little shadow. I’ll sit adoringly at your side and shower you with my love and affection. I don’t mind if you have other dogs but I’m not a fan of sharing my space with felines. I also find those mini-sized humans (aka children) to be highly annoying so I don’t care to live with any of them. I have good manners in the house. I don’t chew or have potty accidents. All dogs are URGENT and at risk for euthanasia after they have been at the shelter for their 72 hour stray hold. Owner Surrenders are at risk for euthanasia immediately. There is no hold for Owner Surrenders. Unfortunately, Memphis Animal Services no longer tells us which dogs are Stray and which ones are Owner Surrenders. So it is best to consider ALL dogs as immediately at risk for Euthanasia. When a dog is added to the Euthanasia list (around 9:00 A.M.), the dog has until 6:00 P.M. that same day to be adopted or fostered and until 9:00 A.M. the next day to be pulled by a rescue. That is 5 hours after being added to the Euthanasia list to be ADOPTED or FOSTERED since MAS does not open until 1:00 P.M. (Tuesday - Friday) If you see a dog you are interested in, I strongly urge you to reach out to Memphis Animal Services immediately. Dogs added to the Euthanasia list on Friday morning have until Sunday at 6:00 P.M. to be ADOPTED or FOSTERED and until 9:00 A.M. on Monday to be pulled by a rescue.

𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗺 here, and yes, the head tilt is every bit as adorable as everyone says! ❤️ I'm a handsome, playful guy with the sweetest eyes, and I'm hoping you'll fall for me the way everyone here already has.

I've got the cutest play bow ever, and I'm always up for a game. Check the comments for a video of me trying to catch a treat. Let's just say my head got in the way, and I've never been more proud of a non-catch. 😂 I've got plenty of love to give, and I'm ready to give it to my person.
