Carolina Loving Hound Rescue CLHR is a Rescue based out of Greenville, SC. Our purpose and Goal is to Rescue, Rehab, Re-home or retire companion animals in need.

From the Pound to the Couch to live the best life possible! We are 100% Non-Profit and solely depend on YOUR DONATIONS. We are small and trying to broaden our base as we speak. When Michele came down from Jersey I took her on a tour of the shelter. On our way out there was a man dumping Waffles. He said he just did not wish to keep up with him anymore. He was getting too expensive!

Not planning on pulling a dog, we said, we will take him! He was medically released because he simply was starved and ion horrendous condition.

We checked him in with Pat and started the journey of healing. Once his skin and ear and eye infections were clear he moved in with Lauren who continued the medical baths and the refeeding plan. With Dr Emily's care he stated turning the page. He put on weight and his skin was getting better each day!

The plan was to babysit him this week while Lauren was on a short vacay. Truth be told we were going to test him with our dogs to see if he would do ok! I MISS having a Bulldog and he was so much like Liberty I wanted to try!

Nope, that is not how it turned out! An AMAZING Family applied for him, drove to Laurens house and took him home :)

WAFFLES IS ADOPTED! Not by us, but by this incredible Family! Waffles now has a Mom and Dad, 6 human Bothers to play with and a farm full of fun animals to play with! A Farm for Waffles...I mean how could I keep him???? He has the perfect life and one day I will find my English that will come to me in the right time :)

This girl!!!! Liza is making leaps and bounds of progress!!!

She made a friend at her foster home and she is not leaning into getting b***y scratches!!!

Her tail is UP more than it is down!!!

Liza is not a bad dog, she is a dog that simply had no human interactions and was running and scraping for food for most of her short life!

You can’t expect to have a perfectly trained and adaptable dog with a history like hers!

What you will have is a dog that will continue to need trust building g and love and compassion! Most of all she needs to be allowed to be a Hound!!!

She loves to sniff and on occasion bay! She wants to be fed and loved! Her love has to be earned. You earned it by being kind, patient and loving!

She is making great progress and we n ow there is a hound loving family out there she will got into perfectly :)

Surgery went great and she is doing amazing!! This one is a special girl that clearly appreciates all we are doing for her. She is very aloof but slowly allowing herself to be a dog!!!

Lauren is doing an amazing job working on her rehab!

She was off lead for the first time inside of one of the dog yards this week! She did amazingly well without looking for an escape route! She walked back to Lauren letting her know she’s done and wishes to go back inside!!!! That’s huge progress!!!!!

Good morning!!!! ☀️

Sandy is doing wonderful after surgery! Mark picked her up yesterday and she has taken up residence under my desk. She did sleep with me last night:). Much to the dismay of the Wiener Mafia!!!

Yesterday morning was a blurt! As you know Sandy has cancer so seeing this happen freaked me to my core!

She did amazing in surgery and is doing awesome at home! I’m packing her in bubble wrap:)

Thank you Dr G for an epic fix:).

Sandy is the most amazing Beagle Queen :)
