Our next FREE Pet Vaccine Clinic will be Saturday, September 19 from 10AM-12PM in Sparta, GA!

Here’s what you need to know:

🐾 Dogs and Cats Only
Limit 3 pets per household. No feral/community cats. Pets must be at least 3 months old.

💉 We will be providing vaccines and microchips. Vaccines available: Rabies, Bordatella, FVRCP, DAPP. We will NOT be providing spay/neuter or any other medical services.

⏰ First Come, First Served: No appointments are available. Vaccines and microchips will be provided to pets in the order they arrive, while supplies last.

⚠️ Animals must be restrained: on leashes or in carriers.

📍This event will be held at the Hancock County Health Department, located 516 Boland Street, Sparta GA 31087. (Note: this clinic is NOT happening at the LOHS shelter.)

✅ You qualify for this clinic if: You live within the LOHS Service Area AND you meet income qualifications (participation in public assistance programs or your household annual income is within 200% of the Federal Poverty Level).

Marvin (adopted 2023) now lives in Atlanta, and his mom snapped this photo today at Jolene Jolene where he was treated to an XL pup cup in celebration of this special dog day!

Just when you thought the X-men cast was complete…Cerebro has detected 3 more Great Pyrenees mutants in the area! 🚨

Emma Frost (real name: Layla) — the magnificent Mama of our entire X-men crew. At 2 years old, she’s ready to retire from motherhood and start focusing on herself for a change. After being an exceptional mother to her 8-pup litter, Layla is working to regain some weight and is ready to be completely spoiled with a lifetime of soft beds, treats and being somebody’s whole world.

Professor X — 3 months old, male, and currently searching for the right home to turn into his X-Mansion.

Rogue — 3 months old, female, and sadly/happily already spoken for…Some mutants get recruited faster than others!

Meet Misty: Your Household’s New CFO (Chief Feline Officer) 🐈‍⬛

She’s currently in foster care with our shelter’s Treasurer, Jeanne, who not only keeps LOHS’s books in tip-top shape, but has taught our youngest adoptees the importance of keeping accurate financial records.

At only 2 months old, Misty has taken it upon herself to personally review every spreadsheet, email and budget report. Every line item now just says “more treats,” but Misty seems fully confident in her assessment.

Her accounting skills might be questionable, but her cuteness is fully accredited.

These X-Men mutants (actually Great Pyrenees puppies) are 2 months old and have just discovered their abilities, which include:

3 boys & 3 girls: Magneto, Wolverine, Cyclops, Mystique, Storm and Jean Grey…all looking for forever homes.
