“Wylie is a rescue between 8-9 years old and is a giant love bug. We are rehoming because since having a baby we aren’t able to give him the time and attention he deserves, and most importantly, he recently charged our babysitter (didn’t bite just scared her) and we just aren’t comfortable leaving him alone anymore. He is reactive to both people and other dogs and takes time to warm up. Once he does though, he is the sweetest boy. He is just fiercely protective of his people and his home and we wouldn’t be able to live with ourselves if our daughter got in the middle of a confrontation and got hurt.
We think he needs a family that has no other dogs, however, maybe with proper introduction and some play time he might get along with your dog, as he is thick as thieves with our other dog. He is eager to please and loves to learn new tricks, especially the part where he gets treats. He appreciates a calm environment.
If he had someone who could give him the time he deserves, and work with him on his anxiety and behavioral issues he’d be such a stellar dog. He is the snuggliest boy and would make a great companion for someone.“
