If you love historic sites and a good cozy mystery as much as I do, her books are an absolute must-read. Getting to chat with her in at Pendarvis, the setting of the 8th book in the Chloe Ellefson series, was the perfect Saturday!!

5. 30 mile “race” 🏃🏻‍♀️🥇

I have always wanted to do a Mammoth March hike challenge. (Which is either 30 miles with a 12 hour cut off or 20 miles with a 8 hour cut off.) This year the Wisconsin events are during Our Nawakwa Women’s Retreat and I wasn’t willing to miss a weekend at camp.

With the help of my amazing husband & sister, we created a race just for me! Julia’s Jaunt - 30 miles in the Southern Kettle Moraine on the Ice Age Trail! It took me 9h44m well under the 12 hour cut off 😊

📍 Stony Ridge, Eagle, Scuppernong, Waterville, Lapham Peak, & Delafield Segments - Ice Age Trail Alliance

It was such a good day! Hayden and Haley had aid stations for me along the way to fill my water and give me snacks! I couldn’t have done it without them. My bestie Jessica even joined me for a few miles! Thank you to Ice Age Trail Alliance - Waukesha/Milwaukee County Chapter for keep the trails in excellent conditions!!

We ended the day with ice cream from Here’s the Scoop in Delafield and then went out to Old World Wisconsin for a fish fry!
