For puppies, water play can actually be a huge confidence building and enrichment activity, especially for working breeds like a Malinois and Rottweiler. Exploring new textures, sounds, movement, and sensations helps build environmental confidence, problem solving skills, and body awareness.

Did you know a well socialized dog does not mean they’re the friendliest dog in town? A truly well socialized dog is neutral to the world around them, and that’s exactly what we’re working towards with Draco 💛

Draco came to us about a month ago lacking confidence and snapping at people out of fear. Today, he explored a busy local park like a whole new dog. He calmly passed people running with dogs, strollers, & bikes!

DTS dog of the week: Bond is a young (not even 1!) Golden Retriever, but don’t let his age fool you! His owners have worked very hard to raise a sweet, social, and intelligent young man.

Bond is a service dog in training who loves his donut toy and spending time with his friends! He also happens to be a trick dog!

Riley has been part of the DTS family since the very beginning, starting training shortly after being adopted! Watching him grow into the amazing dog he is today has been so rewarding. 🐾

Now a Canine Good Citizen, Riley is known for his sweet personality, great manners, and his favorite pastime: relaxing outside with his mom and enjoying the world go by. ☀️💙

We are so proud of this handsome boy and all the hard work he and his Mom have put in over the years!

Rufus came to us before his family PCS’d to work on basic obedience and helping his family learn how to keep him calm in more arousing situations. Watching him make progress and seeing his family so committed to his training was awesome!
