Sometimes the best moments are the ones you never planned for. ❤️

Tonight I found myself laying in the bunk feeder, waiting for Zach to come down on the bush hog, watching the sunset and keeping an eye on the horses to make sure nobody decided to make a great escape. 😂🐴

It’s funny how life can be so busy, but then you have these quiet little moments where you get to stop and take it all in. The horses grazing, the sound of the tractor in the distance, the sun going down over the farm… nothing fancy, just home.

I think these are the moments I’ll remember most. ❤️

Saguaro is definitely a fan of bath time when it’s this hot outside 😂💦

Anything to keep these horses cool and happy in this heat! 🐴☀️

I haven’t had a second to work with the horses this week and I’m going absolutely crazy lol. 😂 I’m ready for some horse time!

BUT… Zach bush-hogged my field yesterday and it looks SO GOOD! ❤️🌱 There’s just something about a freshly mowed field that makes you feel like you’re getting your life together, even when you definitely aren’t. 😂🐴

Too hot to ride so might as well clean some saddles 🥵

I promise I’ll stop with the sad posts soon, but I was scheduling a post and came across this video I made. ❤️

I wanted a video of the horses loading for the first time in the trailer. I didn’t know then that it would be the last video I’d ever have of Pepper.

Pepper was always up for an adventure. She even taught herself how to self-load. If she could see the trailer with the door open from the barn, I could just throw the lead rope over her neck and she’d load herself up and stand there until I had everything packed and ready to go.

It didn’t matter if there was hay in there or not. Sometimes she would load herself up when we weren’t even going anywhere. 😂 To her dismay, I’d just have to make her back right back out.

It’s funny how you don’t think to record the little things when you’re living them. I never thought, “I need a video of Pepper loading herself into the trailer.” It was just something she did.

Now I’m so incredibly thankful I have this little clip.

It’s one of the things I’ll always remember about her. She didn’t just tolerate going on adventures with me, she genuinely wanted to be there.

How lucky was I to have a partner who wanted to be with me that much? ❤️
