Country Pupkins Animal Rescue I save dogs that have been dumped in the country or are at risk of being euthanized in rural shelters.

I am not a long term rescue but try to give everyone their best shot at getting a home or sent to a bigger rescue. We save rural dogs that have thrown away like trash from being euthanized by finding rescue, get vetting and transporting them to safety ! We work mostly with small towns who have no actual animal shelters and have no real resources. We run strictly on donations so please consider donating to our cause!

When you have 7 kittens already, what’s two more right? 😬😂
A lady who was about to lose her home found these two and was trying to take care of them. She reached out needing help with supplies so I went to take them to her. When I found out her situation, they came home with me 🤦‍♀️
I AM officially the crazy cat lady😜

But look how cute they are❤️🐾

Meet Picasso and Weebles.

Picasso has the most beautiful blue eyes❤️ He will be getting neutered in two weeks and will be available for adoption! Weebles is only about 4 weeks old so it’s going to be awhile for him.

I absolutely love my kitty babies❤️
If you are looking for the most social, loving kittens, I’ve got them!

When I was an Animal control officer, I had to walk these dogs to the Euthanasia room. They were so happy getting out of their kennels. They had absolutely no clue that their sweet little life was about to end because someone failed them.
My face has received so many kisses from dogs that had no clue they were about to die.
They literally would be licking my tears as the vet stuck the needle in their arm.
Even in the end, they were trying to comfort me.

We don’t deserve them and they deserve much better.

The amount of stray cats in our area is unreal.
I was in Hobart the other day and no exaggeration, there were at the minimum of 30 cats in a 5 block area that I drove. I literally seen at least 15 in one yard with people outside feeding them. I guarantee they aren’t fixing them though and that just adds to the problem!
No animal deserves to starve, but if you feed them, you need to vet them also. There’s more to taking care of an animal than just food and water. Most of these Ferals have an upper respiratory infection, Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) & Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV),
Feline Panleukopenia, Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), Ringworm and they just spread it among the cat colonies.
If you can’t afford a vet visit, trap them and take them to your local shelter.
Now I know that some towns like Hobart are no help when it comes to cats. I recently took two more in because a woman that was about to be homeless couldn’t find anyone to take them. Hobart Animal control isn’t taking cats right now so Hobart was no help. It will get to a point where they will be so over run that they people will start trapping and killing them.
The babies being born from all these strays have no future. We need to do better!
THERE HAS TO BE A SOLUTION!
It starts with you spaying your pet and not dumping them!!!
Wow, that sounds like a pretty responsible thing to do right?
Then why aren’t people doing it?
Cats are not disposable!
They are part of the family and if you don’t see them as such, don’t bother getting one!
Contact your local low cost spay/neuter program and get your cats fixed! Sometimes they have programs that will help for it as well.

Let’s do better by our animals!

These babies are looking for their forever homes.
They are all very social, lovable and are lap kitties.
They are the sweetest kittens I’ve ever had. Normally you get some that are skiddish but these guys are just love bugs. I guess all the kisses and loves they have gotten since they were born paid off❤️
Four of these babies were born under my bathroom sink so I’m pretty attached to them. The others came at about 5 weeks old and I just love them to pieces.
They are all about 3-4 months old now, spay/neutered, up to date on vaccines and dewormed.
Unfortunately I cannot keep 6 kittens forever. These babies need laps to lay in and a safe home. If they stay here they will have to either be outside kitties or barn cats. I do not want that for them but I also can’t keep them all in the house much longer. I’ve tried and tried since they were 6 weeks old to find homes without any luck.
I have someone offering to take them all for barn cats but we all know what happens to barn cats and i would just die if something happened to my sweet babies.
They deserve to be loved.
Please help me find them a forever home.
They have been raised around dogs and are great with other cats. They all use the litter box and are just great kittens ❤️

Another reason to spay your females!

🚨 PYOMETRA IN DOGS & CATS 🐶🐱 | A LIFE-THREATENING VETERINARY EMERGENCY!

Pyometra is a serious uterine infection that mainly affects unspayed female dogs and cats. The uterus fills with pus, and without timely treatment, the condition can lead to uterine rupture, sepsis, and even death. ⚠️

🔬 Key Clinical Facts:
🐾 Commonly occurs after heat (estrus).
🩺 Signs may include lethargy, loss of appetite, vomiting, increased thirst and urination, and sometimes vaginal discharge.
🚨 In closed-cervix pyometra, discharge may be absent, making early recognition difficult.
🏥 Prompt veterinary assessment is essential. Treatment often involves emergency ovariohysterectomy (surgical removal of the ovaries and uterus) and supportive care.

💡 Remember: Early diagnosis and treatment can save lives. Never ignore signs of illness in an unspayed female pet!
