Randall (my other leo) also got an upgrade! Yes, this is on the smaller end for leo tanks, and yes, there is carpet, but it’s all within reason. See he is almost fully blind. He struggles to find his way from resource to resource and he does best with carpet. I’ve tried substrate, and it leads to impaction. I’ve tried tile, and he’s afraid of it. He only does well with carpet as controversial as it is.

DIY setups are definitely hard, but I’ve officially finished my first one! 4’X4’X2’ to house my sulcata tortoise! I made it with brackets so that I can rebuild it and expand it as she grows! Drylocked it and sealed the corners in between coats, then filled it with 5” of substrate! She also has multiple hiding spots and water to soak in as she pleases!

I went to the repticon expo today and brought noodles with me! Hannah is very scared of him and I want all animals and people comfortable in my space, so I was seeking to trade him for a turtle. My goal was to find a snake and turtle breeder to give him to a happy and safe home, while furthering my turtle collection. And today I can proudly say I own a tortoise! I have ALWAYS wanted ti say those words and today, I can! Say hello to Juniper!

Shirly’s tank got a MAJOR face lift today! She now has ~90 gallons of water and a nest platform, so hopefully soon I’ll have little Shirlies swimming around!
