Many pet parents relax on prevention once summer ends, but adult deer ticks become highly active in fall and will keep questing any day the temperature stays above freezing. Leaf litter, tall grass, and wood piles are their favorite cover. 🍂

Keep prevention going year-round, and run a hands-on check after every walk: ears, under the collar, armpits, between toes, and around the tail. Remove any tick promptly with fine tweezers, straight out, close to the skin, and call your vet if a rash, limping, or lethargy follows.

Cooler air. Same risk. Don't stop early. 🐾

Millions of household pets live with ongoing discomfort that gets written off as 'just getting older.' Instead of crying out, they hesitate at the stairs, stop jumping on the bed, sleep more, eat slower, or turn grumpy when touched in one particular spot. 🩺

Old age isn't a diagnosis — pain is. And it's treatable. Veterinarians have far more tools than they did a decade ago: pain medications, joint support, weight management, rehab, laser therapy, and acupuncture, often layered together for real relief.

Meet Avishai 💙

This gorgeous boy walked in and immediately dominated the room! Avishai had confidence, personality, and looks to match. From his fluffy coat and handsome markings to those absolutely stunning blue eyes, he made sure all eyes were on him.

He carried himself like he already knew he was the star of the show, and of course, our team was more than happy to give him the attention he deserved. And with a face this photogenic, we definitely had to get the camera out! 📸

Beautiful, bold, and full of personality, Avishai made his visit one to remember.

Meet Elias 🧡

Elias was such a sweet boy during his visit and completely charmed our team. One of his favorite things is rolling over for pets, and he made sure everyone knew he was ready for all the love and attention he could get. With his laid back personality and adorable face, he made himself right at home.

Elias did an amazing job throughout his appointment and was a perfect patient from start to finish. Gentle, affectionate, and always looking for a few extra scratches, he reminded us why we love caring for cats with such big hearts.

The light is starting to fade a little earlier now. The evenings still stretch warm and unhurried, but you can feel the season beginning to turn. And through all of it, they're right there beside you, content in the porch shade, the slow walk, the ordinary moment. ☀️

Meet Toby 💙

Toby may have a few wrinkles, but every single one of them just adds to his charm. This handsome little pug had our team smiling from the moment he walked in. With his sweet face, big puppy dog eyes, and lovable personality, he quickly became a clinic favorite.

Toby was such a good boy during his visit and happily accepted plenty of pets and attention from our team. Calm, affectionate, and full of character, he reminded us why pugs are so easy to fall in love with. We cannot wait to see this sweet boy again.
