This morning while walking my dogs the craziest thing I have ever experienced while walking dogs happened....a guy came out of his house with his Doodle. Leo dislikes Doodles and Daisy is crazy so I went to turn around to avoid stress for me. The dogs were going nuts pulling the opposite direction I was wanting them to go when I realized a cat was running toward us, back hunched and swatting. I stopped and tried to shoo the cat away but it was still coming at us. I am trying to pull the dogs as they are trying to lunge towards the cat and it is still coming towards us in attack mode almost swatting the dogs. It would not go away or stop coming towards us!!!! Finally I got the dogs far enough away and the cat stopped just giving us a death stare. I have never seen a cat do that!!! It was so wild.

🐾 ONLY 250 SPOTS — AND WE WANT THIS EVENT PACKED! 🐾

On Saturday, October 10 from 11–4, we’re taking over Bananas Fun Park for a huge Pet Adoption Day benefiting Happy Little Rescue — and attendance is limited to just 250 people.

Come spend the day with us and enjoy Bananas, lunch, rescue dogs, and your FIRST LOOK at the puppies we just brought back from Texas! 🐶✨

If you’ve been thinking about adopting, this is a great chance to meet them. Make sure you have an adoption application on file ahead of time! Approved adopters may be able to take a dog straight from Bananas into a home trial — our foster-with-option-to-adopt program.

🍔 Backyard BBQ from 12–2 — $25

💚 100% of event proceeds benefit Happy Little Rescue

This is such an easy way to make a whole day out of supporting rescue — bring the kids, eat lunch, play, meet some incredible dogs and help us keep saying YES when animals need us.

But with only 250 spots available, don’t wait to make your plans. We would love to see every single spot filled!
